92 ford e150 it has a rough erratic idle, sputtering/ticking/chugging noise on acceleration and now a ticking noise that seems to be coming from the EGR valve, but I just replaced it,throwing no codes

You have thrown a lot of parts into this and it looks like an internal engine parts issue. You need to have a cylinder leak down test run on it. Sounds like a valve issue.

Check engine light comes on due to the egr valve the guy i bought the car off of said he took the egr valve off and cleaned it put it back on and it went off but a month later it went back off should i...

Many times, this will go off and it won't be a problem. Just go ahead and take it off to make sure it is not clogged. Just go ahead and clean it out. You might need th change the egr sensor. It may be given off a false reading. As long as it looks good,it is clean, and nothing is in its path, it should be good. Is your Rodeo acting up any?

EGR CODE P0401,IF I APLLY VACUUM TO THE EGR VAVLE THE ENGINE STALLS.THIS TELLS ME THAT THE EGR VAVLE IS WORKING.SO WHAT NEXT

The mechanical components of the egr themselves may be fine, but the electrical circuit that moves the egr may be faulty. now if the egr valve uses vaccum to operate, then it may be sticking just enough to throw a code.

My Mazda MPV randomly begins to "chug" and act like it will die at a stop. the check engine light comes on. Started about 6 months ago. Seems to happen more when it rains. If I tighten the gas cap it stops...

the gas cap and check engine light thing are related in terms of the EVAP system, or the evaporative emisions system. This is NOT where your surge, or "chug" is coming from. The surge could be coming from a Exhaust Gas Recurculation valve that is starting to bind or "hang up" a bit. DO you notice this happens more at lights, or when coming to a stop? if so it could be an idle air control vavle.

2005 grand caravan error code P0400 egr valve chk/ performance

I have the 2005 Town & Country TOURING . If my memeory serves me correct, I believe this was the same code that I got on time. The van didn't seem to drive any different but this is what I did and I haven't seen the light come on since.
first I went to the dealer ( you can get these parts from a auto parts house also) and bought the 3 gaskets total.for the the EGR solenoid vavle assembly where it bolts on to the engine ( that gasket was made from metal), NOTICE AN INDENTATION IN THE METAL GASKET WHEN YOU TAKE IT OFF,YOU WILL WANT TO PLACE THE NEW GASKET IN THE SAME DIRECTION. one gasket that goes between the EGR valve solenoid and the small stand pipe. and another gasket that goes between the stand pipe and where it connects to the plastic valve intake area cover on top of the engine.
I took the EGR solenoid off from the engine and took it apart (reall carefully) and cleaned it thouroughly with a spray carbuerator cleaner. I took mine "completely apart" after I did this I dont recommend to do this again, you can damage the coil inside if you're not cafefully. I suggest just cleaning the valve and plunger ports, etc....
When it was completely dry I reinstalled the EGR solenoid on the van making sure I used ALL NEW GASKETS. The van hasn't produced the engine light since. I hope this helps.

read this article, it explains that you have plugged EGR gas passages, the valve is not the problem, but read the link.

Check engine light

yes you will have to hook it to a scan tool and erase the dtc or the light will stay on. sometimes you can unhook the battery for 30 sec or pull a fuse or turn the key on and off a couple of times
