Trystarting from the point that bulbs aren't working,take one of the replacement bulbs that usually come with the lights and replace them one at a time.just one replacement bulb to start then the one you took out put it in the next until either it lights up or you reach the last unlit bulb,but hopefully you dont get to the end because if you do then there's more then one bulb thats faulty. I've had that happen alot so dont give up..If the lights are on two separate wiring check for a glass fuse hidden on either ends of plug(wall or tree) I hop that helps.
