How to change the speed sensor

i believe it has a vehicle speed sensor in the rear diff that is probably your problem as the sensor you replaced in the transmission was probably the output shaft speed sensor

with the car on safety stands and running in gear check the speed sensor with a volt meter . The oil light should light up wen the ignition is on and go out a second or two after starting. Check the sender unit and wiring .

If the "check Engine" light is illuminated the check for codes in ECM. Probably a speed sensor.

Check and see if you have proper tire size on all 4 wheels. Sometimes mismatched sizes can cause speedo issues. Possible abs or wheel speed sensor issue also.

Speed sensor is located in the wheel hub,drivers side. Remove that wheel,and make sure that the sensor line isnt wore thru. Its the ONLY componant screwed into the hub. really inexpensive and easy to replace.

You will ned to get the computer "scanned" to detect what appears to be two separate problems. If the stalling was the only fault I would have said it was either the throttle positon sensor faulty or the Air flow meter / sensor. However the two may be linked. ie faulty speed sensor.

Sensor maybe? Maybe torque coverter isnt locking out.

hi every car has a speedo meter cable in tat a worm gear attached in the wheel so i case of fails the speedo meter works some time and nt work . so u hav to change the speedo meter warm gear

does the speed sensor keep breaking indie the transmission?
