SOURCE: location of fusebox on 1980 corvette

Fuses are located in the junction box below the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. The turn signal flasher and hazard warning flasher also plug into the fuse block. Each fuse receptacle is marked as to the circuit it protects and the correct amperage of the fuse. In line fuses are also used. Refer to the Fuse Chart at the end of the information for their location. The fuse block on some models is a swing-down unit located in the underside of the instrument panel adjacent to the steering column. Access to the fuse block on some models is gained through the glove box opening. The Convenience Center on some models is a swing-down unit located on the underside of the instrument panel. The swing-down feature provides central location and easy access to buzzers, relays and flasher units. All units are serviced by plug-in replacement. Location of Convenience Center on specific models may vary.

Fuse box

You should have a fuse box that pivots down from under the dash. There are two or three harness plugs in the back.

The dash lights wont come on in my 1987 corvette what can i do

There is only two things I can think of from where I am sitting. Locate and turn the dimmer knob either on the light switch a wheel type on the dash somewhere.
The other thing is the fuse. Under the dash should be a fuse box. one the cover should be a diagram and marked on it should say something like instrument panel or panel lights. I'm not sure.. But if you have to just take one out at a time and check it for a melted or seperated wire or burnt mark. Replace it with the same amp fuse. If you go higher there could be a wire fire. If you find one replace it but do not stop there. There are times when two can go at the same time
If you don't find any bad ones under the dash then check under the hood. Should be some more bigger ones on the top of the wheel well on the right or left closer to the firewall or windshield. Do the same check there. I can only guess but please be kind with a good thumbs up for trying ok? Thanks and keep me informed, Raz

I have a 1980 corvette and no power to the blower fan switch?

I had the same problem on my 80 vette several months ago. The blower relay is located on the firewall top side (engine compartment, passenger side). It is a silver rectangle about 2"x1"x1" . Pull out the wiring plug and check to make sure it hasn't melted due to a loose connection. NAPA sells a new plug that can be spliced into the wiring harness. Let me know if you have any questions.

Wipers going when they are off

Check under the dash or on the sides of the dash with doors open, or under the hood in a box marked fuse relay. In most GM cars and trucks these are the places where thay stash the fuses

Next you will need a 10mm look straight up you will see the box it is aluminum with 2 wire harness attached. There is a metal clip holding it attached pull it back and un hook the harness then it will slide right out.
