I'm having the same problem except on mine it's the driver's side that's blowing cold. Do you have the pictures in a finer resolution? I can't make them out and when I zoom, they are too grainy. Does the replacement require removing the dashboard? What's the general cost of the acuators? Are they readily available at like NAPA or other parts stores?

It seems that your Passenger-side (RH) Blend Door Actuator has failed. The Vehicle also has a Left-hand Blend Door Actuator, but that seems ok. Operating the mode select switch and/or lubricating the RH (passenger side) Blend Door, or the Blend Door Actuator may fix the problem. In the event you want to replace the RH Blend Door Actuator, my manual only has pictures...
Blend Door Actuators - Replacement
NOTE
Pressing the mode select switch with the ignition on, will cycle through Vent-Bi/Level-Floor-Mix.
(1) Disconnect negative terminal of the battery.
(2) Remove appropriate crash pad components.
(3) Replace appropriate Blend Door Actuator
(4) Installation is the reverse of removal.

I have a 2005 Kia the air conditioner does not throw out cold air there is cold air coming inside the car where the mode doors are but i do not think the door are switching. What would cause that.

i was a GM mechanic for many years, the problem you are having is one of your mode door actuators has gone bad, most of the time it is the actuator on the drivers side that causes the problems, i have seen this many times, sometimes you can take it to the dealer and they can hook the computer up to it and recalibrate it but most times it has to be replaced , it is located under the dash in the area above your gas pedal.

You have dual zones that are controlled by temperature actuators the passenger side has lost its memory or has gone bad you can put it in self programming by disconnecting the battery for ten minutes then hook it back up start the truck turn the temperature control on but do not touch any other controls let it go thru the self programming for about 6 to 7 minutes then select your temperature you want if it still does not work properly you may have a bad actuator or a bad connection at the actuator

The problem is most likely a bad dual climate control valve. This component is located on the right side near the radiator under the hood. It will have several coolant hoses hooked to it and 2 silver cylinders protruding from it. You can clamp off the heater hoses at the heater core and see if both sides cool then and this will tell you that the valve is letting coolant thru when it shouldn't be.
This will narrow it down to either the valve or the control head inside the car,or wiring in between them. The only way to narrow it down further is if you have a scan tool that could access the climate control data. Have seen several of these valves cause this concern and have only seen one control head cause it.

You need to replace the drivers side temp actuator that is located on the left side of the HVAC box. It is retained by 3 screws and is fairly easy to replace.

The actuator door on the driver's side is out of position and needs to be reset. Remove the negative battery cable for 1/2 hour to reset the computer. Start the HVAC system and you should be able to hear the door adjusting itself and cold should come out of the driver's side vent.
