Jaguar convertible I need to change passenger side piston ram for the convertible top on my jaguar xjs 1994. How do I get to it, and what's the order of filling the hydraulic system up again ? thanks a million Michael

If I remember correctly, it should be in the trunk under a section of the floor on the passenger side.

under the drivers side rear of car there are 2 quick disconnect lines you push and turn and they pop loose

remove covers in boot behind seat there are mounting brackest there hopfully not rusted take off bolts remove brackets remove filler pipe but getting it out is a carry on as its a tight fit may need to remove back seat as well

The fuel pump is located under the chassis, in the gas tank. You can often gain access for testing and replacing it by removing the rear seats and opening the small panel that is under the seat.

hi, there are fuse pannels on the side of the footwells on both side of your car, i know the side lights, head lights are on the left hand side (in britian left meaning (near side to the kerb)) not looking at the car from outside

On my 90 and 92, I have a vacuum line from the driver side intake manifold at about inline with the # cylinder. It travels to the firewall between engine and firewall to a connection underneath the battery.That line goes through the firewall and connects to other lines roughly above your feet if you are sitting in the passenger side of the car.

The rear windows are controlled by a timer in the top's ECU. If
the rear windows stop fully closing before your top is closed, the
problem MAY be with top's hydraulic system.

Check your top's hydraulic reserve tank for low fluid level. Lack
of fluid will greatly delay the top's closing sequence, leaving
those rear windows partially open.
Your top's hydraulic pump system is located beneath the right side
of the cubby/storage box behind the front seats. Raise the cover
and you'll see a removable trim panel on the right side. The pump
is behind that access panel.

You can use power steering fluid to top off the tank, but don't
fill it above level indicator line. You may have to add more fluid
after you cycle the top up and down to get the air bubbles out of
the lines.
It could also be a relay. On a 95 the relays that are in the trunk above the battery.
Perhaps, just switching the relays might prove which one is failing..
