Chev sets p2011 when cold. clear code and runs fine until next cold day. replaced position sensor. now sets code with every start. eracing code allows normal operation until nexe start.

You did not post the info on the make and model and year. This code means the air intake manifold has a set of flaps in the system that control the air turbulence when the engine is cold. The flaps are controlled by a servo motor and the motor can get very dirty and not work, the flaps can get dirty and not move correctly. This was not one of GM's better ideas. There are screws on the flaps that have come loose and fallen in the engine and caused major damage .

I,ve just had my swirl flap rod replaced for the second time this year but engine management light has come back on today, i only got my car back from garage yesterday do i need to replace my inlet...

On a swirl flap operation there is a motor attached to the inlet manifold I presume the motor is fixed to the bottom side. You may need to look at this motor that operates the flaps as these can jam if the cogs are worn inside and will make the eml come on

What diverts air to defrost. Air comes out vents and floor. ac works and heat , but won't go up to dash vents. The flaps are working.

You just THINK the flaps are working, but apparently the top vent is not. These multiple flaps are controlled by vacuum and you have a line off to that particular flap. This means the flap won't open and the vacuum leak, whether you can hear it or not, is making you lose MPG also, though slight. The vacuum line could be cracked or disconnected from the flap or at the vacuum block on the back of the lever unit.

Sometimes the solenoid activates and LiNKAGE seems stuck to open the heater FLAPS/DOOR. Bring it back to the mechanic and test those links and motors that i said! Hope that helps u out! taah!

Pre ignition

pre ignition could mean it runs after you turn the key off that would be to high mechanical setting of the idle speed by changing the throttle plate factory setting if you did that to keep it idling turn it back down and find out what that problem is because the idle speed isto high. if this is not the issue, either the timing is incorrect or more than likely the computer is not compatable with this different engine.have fun.

Diverter Fan broke affecting air and heat

it is not you fan ticking. there is a big door in your heaterbox that switches from heat to a/c. alot of times the motor that turns this door gets jammed. if the motor is removed and the door turned manually, turning the car on with the motor {flap motor} removed still , turn the heat to cold, wait for the motor to stop turning, then bolt it back onto flap and you should be fine.mercedes is not perfect, sometimes you have to remove the dash to access this flap motor
