If you brake lights stay on and the cruise control doesn't work then I would be looking at the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal as if there is power passing through it then it cuts out the cruise control. The same as if you put your foot on the brake cuts out the cruise control. The hatch button will be another problem like a fuse or broken cable or failed latch solenoid. As to the rear middle brake light try checking the bulb first.
If bulbs are definetly ok you can look behind trim on the left side in the boot, which covers the space between the boot floor and the window, you are looking for a green/red wire in a connector. this is the power cable which supplies both rear side mounted brake lights. You should check for voltage at this wire when pedal depressed. If no voltage you would need to trace this back to where the wire is joined in the loom as it feeds off the wire which supplies the high mounted brake light and you have stated that this works. Would still double check bulbs first though if you did'nt replace them. Hope this helps.
sounds like the brake light switch on brake pedal has gone bad one way to check is find the switch it will have two wires pluged into the switch they can be dificult to get to they are located some where down low to the floor board on back of pedal find it and unplug the conector with a peice of wire or paper clip make a jumper between the two wires dont worry 12volts will not shock you but once jumper wire has been installed between the wires dont let it touch any metal parts or it will short out and blow fuse hope this helps
This problem sounds like a short in the lighting system. Since the side lights get brighter when you press the brake pedal, you have power crossing from the brake wire to the marker wire. Try removing the left rear brake bulb and se if the problem continues. If it does, reinstall the left bulb and try removing the brake bulb on the other side and see if that fixes the problem. If the problem persists examin the wires closely for broken insulation.
check the fusse for the brake ligt and the righht and left rear lights. also check the brake switch white is located underneath the dash board an over the brake pedal
I change to new bulb and cleaned plug still does not work
