Headlights flashing - car does not have alarm system

It appears the rudiments of an alarm system are installed. The headlights and parking lights are FLASHING. I found the parking light relay, removed it and they stopped; but, I can't find what is causing the headlights to flash -- they continue flashing even with headlight switch is ON. This makes me think that some part of an alarm system is activated - though, the car starts and drives. Symptoms started while parked at a grocery store - I suspect someone parked nearby set their alarm and incidentally activated whatever part of an alarm system is on this car.

You will need to take it to Chrysler/Dodge place and have them to reset it! Not sure if You bought this Used or not, but if You did, they never gave You the remote! and if I was You I would get one, it will save You some headaches in the future!

SOURCE: Anti-theft system seems to have been activated?

Some months ago I began starting the engine of my 2001 Chrysler 300M but turned it of before it really started "was sloppy with the key". The anti-theft system went on for some unknown reason. I disarmed it by disconnecting one of the battery connections under the hood with a wrench. I connected it again, the anti-theft system was off but the battery was dead. Battery was OK after recharging, I have had no trouble since then.

SOURCE: Car stuck in Park, wont switch gears

check to see if the brake lights come on it may be a problem with a brake switch under the dash not letting the shift lock release. there may be a seperate switch just for it so check and see it there is two switches touching the brake pedal lever if the brake lights come on.

Honda Odyssey the regular light on the back come on when the van is off

Hello. It seems your Honda's alarm system is malfunctioning/defective. The 'parking lights' are supposed to flash on/flash off when arming/disarming the car alarm. If the parking lights stay lit; that indicates a 'short circuit' somewhere between the alarm and 'parking lamp relay'. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

My tail lights won't turn off when I shut off my car 2006 kia sodona

Accesss the headlight switch and unplug the connector to it and see if the taillamps go out. If they do then you likely have a bad haedlight switch which is also the parking light switch. I also am assuming that you do not have an added aftermarket alarm system that flashes the running lights when you arm it.

Security system is locked out, will not let use start van

If the headlights are flashing, the alarm system is factory installed. Inserting the key into the driver door lock and turning to the left then back to the right is supposed to disarm it. If the parking lights are blinking,, the alarm is an aftermarket add on, and there should be a disarm button under the dash on the driver side. If it' an aftermarket alarm, you should be able to have it removed. There is a way to bypass the factory alarm. There is a wiring harness in the driver's door. You will have to remove the door panel to find it. The wire is dark green and purple. Splice into that wire and ground it to the chassis and the alarm should no longer work.

I just lost the main key with the wireless door/alarm mechanism. Now i'm using a spare key and need to disable the alarm completely. Is there any way to do that?

The first thing you need to do is find out if it is factorty or after market you do this but looking at the lights while the alarm is going off if the headlights are flashing, the alarm system is factory installed. Inserting the key into the driver door lock and turning to the left then back to the right is supposed to disarm it. If the parking lights are blinking,, the alarm is an aftermarket add on, and there should be a disarm button under the dash on the driver side.
