Blinkers act weird - bmw e39 5 series 1997

I own this car for 13 years. it developed a problem last winter. and did not change since then. sometimes blinkers run fast like i lost a bulb on that side. but they are working. i can se the light. i checked for sockets and housings, when iplay with bulbs sometimes they lost power and computer thinks bulb is out even if bulb is connected instantly after. it blinks fast for few seconds then turns back to normal. i tried tighter fit bulbs, i replaced sockets i replaced housings. it does same thing rarely but it is still there. does anybody has specific informaiton on this issue?

I am no expert on bmw but I would check or replace the sending unit for the blinkers, it usually in the fuse panel and is round an just plugs into the panel. Hope this helps.

If new bulbs don't work, it is probably the harness that holds the bulb. I had to replace both on my car after fighting with the problem for over a year and not knowing.

1990 f150 straight 6 it's happened before, blinkers not wrkg and rear lights. replaced blinker switch last time

If your brake lights are working, then the wiring to the turn signals are good. Check the turn signal flasher which is under the dash. Try your emergency flashers. Do they work?

1998 BMW M3, winter garaged until past month. AC ran great first time out.Now turns on & off.Mostly off. Acts like a loose wire. Is that possible? New coolant last fall.

It's turning on and off for a reason. Have your Mechanic check your a/couple and see how much freon it has. It could be that it had to much, or it needs some

German cars are weird. Changing a battery can disable many things. It will have to be reset by computer. Don't be surprised if you have to go to the stealer dealer for that.

2000 chevy cavalier blinkers are acting weird. the left side front and back blinkers stay on and do not flash sometimes. i notice it gets worse when its extremely hot out. also the right hand side did

First check all the bulbs to make sure they are good with an OHM meter or continuity tester (available from any auto parts store) then if that is not the problem andall looks good replace the turn signal combination relay module in the dash.
Pictures are of the location of the flasher relay, this is all behind the dash.

I have a 1997 bmw 540 i the driver seat wont move nor the stearing column does anyone know the problem to this or which fuse will fix the problem

Sounds like the fuse has blown. On these 5 series a single fuse controls both the steering colomn adjustment as well as the drivers seat adjustment.

In your glove box, either behind a panel or a drop down fuse fascia is fitted. The fuse your after is a 30a fuse in position 13. Normally a sheet with a labelled diagram will show you where fuse 13 is located. (Or just simply from left to right count 13 spaces!)

Hope this helps!
