Whenever you lose power the radio will go into anti-theft mode and needs a code. this code was provided in the original paperwork with the vehicle. it is printed on a small white label. if you do not have the code take your car to a honda dealership. using your vin no. they can retrieve the code, as long as it is the original radio.

you asked for clarification? you have to input this code in order for the radio to work. it prevents theft because without the code the radio is useless. if the radio is not the original factory radio, say yours went bad and you bought a used replcement then honda will not have a record for that radio.

First thing to try is disconnected the battery for 20 min. Then reconnect the battery. It may reset the computer. You will have to re-enter the radio code.

Have you disconnected the battery or replaced a fuse lately? Could mean it needs the code entering.

WHATS THE STERO CODE?

You need to call your local dealer and give him your information to get your cars stereo code. Its a anti theft trick that vehicle manufactures use to prevent people from stealing your radio.

My friend replaced the positive terminal cable on her 2005 nissan altima with a positive terminal cable from the factory and now the car won't start at all. There is power to all the fuses and the battery...

Hello.
It is very likely that the terminal is fine. Many vehicle owners are not aware that the newer factory installed anti-theft systems will lock down the car, ( prevent it from starting ), if the battery is disconnected for more than just a couple of minutes. In the future if you need to disconnect the battery, make sure that you dis-arm the anti-theft system first

You should be able to find out how to dis-arm/over-ride the anti-theft system in your owners manual.

I hope this helps you.

Need a code for my rsx but i dont know what code

This code can only be retrieved by a honda /acura dealer. it's the anti theft code. it may be written in your owners manual or logged at the dealer where the vehicle was originally purchased. if not the radio must be removed and the serial # entered into honda's tech support net by a registered honda tech to retrieve your theft code.

Radio pin code

Hi,

The anti theft feature has been activated. Disconnect both battery terminasl for some 30 seconds and reconnect the. If after doing this, the radio asks for a CODE, then you need the code now, but if the radio keeps displaying ERROR E the radio is bad.( the radio will never give you any code to unlock it for that purpose you must go to your nearest Acura dealer as they are authorized to retrieved it online from factory)
