84 El Camino dashboard lights

I need to replace my dashboard lights, some seem to have gone out and others are so dim you can't see anything anyway. Where can I purchase these lights and how difficult is it going to be to get the dashboard off?

how do you disconnect the speedometer cable to remove the dashboard and get to the dashlights for an 87 el camino?

Not too bat you just unscrew the faceplate that covers the dashes, unbolt the gauge cluster then u can get at them.

In regions where smog checks are required to register your vehicle, YES. In regions where smog checks are not required, you should fix the CHECK ENGINE light anyway, as it is an important warning of engine issues.

1982 chevy el camino, when i make turns with lights on, lights dim and go back to being bright, sometimes radio will turn off, is this a grounding problem in the steering coloum?

Yes I would say its a wiring problem in the column.

84 el camino, the running lights started poping fuses, 20 amps. After checking behind the light switch, found the harness had been hot over the years. Changed the harness, no changes; still no running...

MORE THAN LIKLY you burnt something like a fuse or a relay or possibily something in front or in back of the harness i know thats a lota help but different people have diff. solutions sometimes. CLOWNY DAGGERS
