My 1993 voyager speedometer works on and off what would cause this

the speedometer sensor is located at the rare end the the transmission

you will have to check to see if the connection is a cable or electronic sensor. If it is a cable loosen the end by the transmission and check to see if it is broken or if the end is stripped if so replace the cable. If it is a sensor you might have to change the speed sensor. good luck

have him check all the fuses and i mean all of them.some fuses feed other fuses.also make sure the radio is not hooked up to any comp. comm. wires. they are always in a twisted pair

not sure about your vehicle , but many chrysler products from that era had electronic speedometers that worked off the output shaft speed sensor , which is screwed into the 4 speed automatic transmission. Google A604 transmission , If yours looks like an A604 , chanses are it is the sensor , although I would have expected your trans would have gone into limp home mode and be stuck in 2nd gear

Sounds like you need a new speed sensor in the transmission,both the speedometer and the transmission rely on a signal from it to work properly.

There is most likely a bad connection at the cluster,remove the dash cluster,and check the connection to it,you may have to tighten the connectors up so they will fit tighter.

Have you called transmission place? Did they also install it? Ask them if they changed speedometer adapter, and mention the difference in speed.
