I have an 84 dodge rampage, never has shifted into 5th since i bought it. one day i had trouble getting it to shift into reverse, the next day it stopped shifting all together. the clutch is almost impossible to press down, makes a slight walloping noise, and pulsates a little.

Dtc 0700 jerks when shifting from reverse to drive

The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.

1989 dodge dynasty v6, fwd, transaxle 3 speed auto, good condition, experiencing shift problem, doesnot want to shift into passing gear, sometimes it does, right now it doesn't, any takers

most auto trans don't shift into reverse when low. Reverse takes the most fluid of all the gears.
Check for a bad shift solenoid or wires to and from that circuit. Most trans-axles have them now.

Number 18 trouble shooting code

18 = Cam Crank Problem
36 = Transaxle Shift Problem

Hope this helps. - Jarett

The transaxle shift problem I am unfamiliar with, but the cam crank problem is probably either your Camshaft Position sensor, or Crankshaft Position Sensor.
