When my check engine light comes on, my transmission starts to be slow to change from 1st to second gear. It feels like a loss of pulling power. In order for the transmission to change from 1st to 2nd gear I have to raise the rpm....(automatic transmission, 6cyl.)
Since alot of things rely on data from the speed sensor you will "usually" get an ABS alarm, little or no shifting,no indication of speed on the speedometer, and the check engine light. without the abs light and with a speed indicated I would lean toward a transmission problem
