My 1997 buick lesabre keeps blowing fuses. first it blew the turn signal fuse which is a 20 amp replaced it with a 20 and it blew when i turned on the signal. put in a 25 to see if it would work and it works now. not the way to fix it but thats what i did. then my tail lights fuse blew and it taks a 10 amp. put a 10 amp in and when i turned on lights it blew. tried a 15 it blew tried a 20 and 25 and they blew. put in a 30 and it didnt blow but the tail lights are very very dim. dont know if thats caused by the resistance on the 30. not using the car dont want to start a fire. also in my other question iam having trouble withe the cruise and the seat belt alarm. fuses good in the cruise but still dont work. seat belt dings continusly after you get out of car unless you buckle back the seat belt. are these related? changed my computer. that didnt help but got my computer from autozone. inferior computer? shouldve i got one from a gm dealer? any help would be greatly apreciated.

I strongly suggest your first priority will be to discover why your tail lights are seemingly consuming many times more current than they should. A 30 amp fuse has less resistance than a 10 amp though the difference is hardly measurable.

I suspect when that is sorted out the other faults could disappear without further effort.

It is time to find a circuit diagram and to trace the tail light wiring from the supply to the lamps in order to discover what went wrong.

SOURCE: T100 tail lights & dash light keep blowing fuses

If this vehicle has a trailer harness, that could be the problem; it could be shorted out. Additionally, if there is no trailer harness, look under the truck bed at the rear, look for a grey wiring connector that wires come out of, and run to the taillamps. I have observed corrrosion in this connector, which will result in a short circuit. You may find it necessary to cut the connector out and resplice the wires back together (eliminate the connector), if severe corrosion is indeed present.

SOURCE: blows fuses

SOUNDS LIKE THE ALARM HORN IS SHORTED, CAUSING FUSE TO BLOW.
TRY UNPLUGGING ALARM HORN & SEE IF FUSE STILL BLOWS.
IF IT DOES NOT BLOW, REPLACE ALARM HORN.

SOURCE: FUSES KEEP BLOWING FOR THE DASH AND TAIL LIGHTS

your lights are grounding out some where you will have to check for a dead short in the wiring use a volt meter in the resitance mode and track through you power side of the lights untill you find your dead short, start at the back and work your way to the fuse box pull the fuse and follow the wire. there is a short in it it will just take some time going through look for worn coating, cracks, or melted.
good luck & and happy hunting

SOURCE: 2006 f150 keeps blowing turn signal fuse

It sounds like the fuse is doing what it is supposed to do, and burning out when there is a short circuit. Check the wiring from the fuse block back to the lights and pay special attention to the trailer connection.

My electronic immobilizer fuse (38) on my 1997 BMW Z3 kept blowing. I kept replacing it but now it won't crank and the fuse isn't blowing.

Fuses shouldn't keep blowing and that was the cue to get it looked at. You either need to get it towed to the dealership, or contact a mobile auto-electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose the electronics. This is not the type of issue you can fix yourself unless you spend $3.5k to $5k on a bi-directional scanner.

Honda metropolitan 05 Met II blowing 15 amp fuse

Did the scooter start OK when you first started it after bringing it out of storage, or did you have to use the kick starter? Maybe the battery is faulty and is pulling a lot of power.
Check the charge rate with an ammeter (use a multimeter that can measure 20 Amps DC) and see if the current exceeds the 15A rating of the fuse. If it does, replace the battery.
