Try swapping the headlight relay with another. The relay should click when you turn on. If after you swap - it works - bingo - bad relay. Swap back and go buy a new one. They are pretty cheap and you can get from most general auto parts stores

SOURCE: Saab 9-3 1999 convertible

On 1999 9-3 models there is a fuel filter located under the pass rear door. However if this was plugged it would not kick back in after a short time. Typical suspects are crankshaft position sensor which will work well on a cold engine and intermittently cut off and on when the engine is hot. Its a cheap sensor, and very easy to change. Possibly check condition of spark plugs and the DI cassette as well. Also check function of Fuel pressure regulator. Any fault codes stored (CEL on?)

SOURCE: 1999 Toyotal Camry brake lights are out.

You have a ground issue.Current from another circuit is running through the lights to get to ground. this causes them to burn out quickly. You need to do a real detailed visual check.A good component wiring diagram and component locator is a requirement here.

My xenon headlight indicator comes on and the front light is out. I turn off the car, restart it, and the headlight indicator comes off. I have a 9.5 2003 SAAB.

check to see if the wire is connected to the bulb. also check you're fuse box and pull the headlight fuse to make sure it is still good. if all these are good try replacing the bulb.

The drivers side headlight on my 2002 Saab won't

This is probably a problem with the orange headlight relay under the hood in the relay black box. Take the relay out and clean contacts and put back in. If does not fix, try a new relay or swap with another 9-5 to troubleshoot.

How do I change headlight bulb on a 2002 Saab 9-5

lift hood, on back of headlight theres a round cover, rotate counterclockwise to remove, you then pull electrical connector off, then there is a wire clip that you push toward front of car and push under the catch, this releases the bulb. installation is reverse order, make sure bulb is centered and notch on bulb lines up with housing. do not touch bulb with fingers, use paper towell, if you do touch it clean with rubbing alcohol. Hope this helps.

Headlights are not working

Strange headlamp problems on Saabs can often be attributed to a failing Headlamp relay. Here are a few common situations:
Issue1- Headlamp switch will work backwards: Turn on the switch andtheheadlights go off and turn off the switch and the headlights willgoon.
Issue 2 - High beams will disappear. You will havenohighbeams. Be sure to check the headlight bulbs PRIOR to orderingtherelay. Remember however that it is possible for both high beams burnout at the same time
Issue3 - High beams will not work only the low beams will.
Issue 4 - A single bulb setting (low or high) on either side will not work and bulb replacement will fix it.
Youcan sometimesfix these issues by removing the relay, taking off thecover andresoldering the connections on the relay bottom. To performthis repair, go to my illustrated tutorial at customsaab.com.
In some cases youwill have to replace the relay to effect a long term cure. The aftermarket replacement can be had at Eeuroparts.com for about $60.00:
