Guys found a solution ona different forum here is the solution

To deactivate automatic a/c feature on 2002 CR-V
1) Turn vehicle off.
2) Turn fan knob off.
3) Turn temperature knob all the way to the left (blue area).
4) Turn vent knob to panel only setting (next to max a/c).
5) Hold down both air recirculation button and a/c button while
starting car.
6) Continue holding for 7 seconds until air recirculation button
stops flashing.

Are you referring to the windshield defroster? if so, then it is normal for the ac compressor to cycle on and off, the reason being that, during winter months, is helpful for the proper function of the ac compressor to cycle on and off so as to not lock up.

Engine and AC fans start spinning

If that is the same thing as Defrost, the compressor will run even if the ac button is off. The compressor runs to dry the air blowing on the windshield.

Why did my 2003 Ford Focus windshield ice up inside the car

Was the selector on "defrost" ?
It should pull outside air into the car and thru the ac and heater cores to both dry the air and warm it up.
Did you have excessive moisture inside the car, such as wet floors ?

A/C panel temp selector stuck in the middle between hot and cold. I turned on the defrost to dry the dew off my windshield. When the windshield was dry, I tried to move the selector back to cold air. ...

You're jus going to have to take the unit apart and find what is binding up the cable or blend door. Maybe something in the blend door path, a toy or something that ha fallen in the ducts.

I have a 1996 dodge ram 1500, and when I turn on the ac it only comes out thrue the bottom vents(leg vents) and thrue the windshield vents. what can I do?

not one hundred percent on this but if it uses vacuum to control the selector doors then u may want to check your vacuum source and if there is vacuum u may want to have your control head tested.

Climate control stuck in defrost/floor vents

The problem is probably a faulty diverter door actuator or vacuum problem at the HVAC plenum under the dash. This is a common problem - see YouTube for help diagnosing this:

Turned air condition on, went to turn it off (button out) light is still on and color of light is green when on or off 2009 kia rio.

I may be able to help but, I need some more information. When you turned on your A/C what was the vent selector set at (Floor, Face, Defroster)?

Most newer cars with A/C systems have a built in setting when you set your vent selector to Defrost mode (blowing on the windshield) that automatically turns on the A/C unit. This is normal due to the fact that a fogged up windshield is from water vapor and the A/C does an awesome job of drying the air so it can more effectively and quickly remove that annoying water vapor from your windshield so you can see better while driving.

Try changing the vent selector to full face vent (the vents from the dashboard that you can adjust) and switch on/off the A/C and see if that solves your problem.
