I want to disable the alarm on my 99 chrysler lhs, I believe it is draining my battery. Car runs fine but if it sits for a day battery dies and car will not start without a jump. I need to know where to look for the alarm and how to disable it

Unless you have shop technical manual,please don't even think about trying to disarm your anti-theft system because there is an easier solution. I'm assuming that you don't have the full Shop Service Manual. If you do, then you know that a shop manual costs at least $100.

So why did I say: Don't even think about it? Your anti-theft device is capable of causing problems that you don't want to deal with. If you have the dealer do the job, the cost can be prohibitive. The anti-theft device tells the on-board computer to shut off the fuel flow and to disengage the starter circuitry.

SOLUTION: Go on eBay and buy an anti-theft bypass module for $10-$20 depending on the year and make of your vehicle.
