There is a connector under the steering column, you need to buy an OBD 2 system scanner to plug into that connector and access the codes. The system is always in diagnostic mode, OBD 2 stands for On Board Diagnostics second generation.

replace the ECM as has a ROM ( random operational memory ) problem. Resetting the CPU program may help ( use a scanner tool) but I would not hold my breath for this .
The idle speed is computer controled, it is not adjustable, you most likely have sludge in the throttle valve and the idle speed control air bypass valve, clean them with carb spray with the engine running.
it could very well be the fuel filter if this hasnt been changed recently may be a good place to start, also the have platinum spark plugs as imports and prefer to run on 95 or higher octane fuel.. hope this helps
