96 Dodge Ram 1500 5.3 liter shows po 713, po 300 302 303 305 308 and p 1899. I know the 300's are cylinder misfires but not sure on the other two.

The P0302 code means that the cylinder 2 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks and if no leaks are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 2. If the problem persist more tests needs to be done. PO307 is the same thing except number 7 cylinder. Possible symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/loss of power
- Hard start
- Engine hesitation

P0155 indicates a problem with the heater circuit for sensor #1 on bank #2. P0307 indicates a misfire detected in cylinder #7.

P0300 is the random misfire code. P0301 is the misfire code for Cylinder #1. When was your last tune up? non platinum spark plugs should be replaced around 30-60k along with the wires. With platinum plugs that extends out to 100k. I would try a tune up first plugs and wires. Reasonably cheap fix that is a prevenitive maintenace item anyways. If you have just recently had a tune up or it does not solve your problem you most likely have a bad coil pack on cylinder#1.

There were three different engines for that vehicle in 1996, here are diagrams of the 3.9 liter V-6 engine, and the 5.2 and the 5.9 liter V-8 engines both have the same firing order.

3.9 liter V-6 liter engine;





5.2 liter/5.9 liter engines;

It means there's a misfire with Cylinder # 5

Change cam sensor & erase codes.( disconnect battery for a minute or so after.) 340 & 1391 refer to cam sensor problem, and all other 300 codes are cylinder misfires that should disappear when cam sensor fixed.
