1st,pick out choice swear words! next,remove air filter, then there are two phillip head screws holding the cap on.( they are also a small hex about a 1/4 " or 5/16th.) if they haven't been removed in a long time , be careful not to break them off! I have found that a 1/4" drive with that flexable cable extention works best for the rear screw,which is the bad boy to get at. mark your wires if you don't know how to do the firing order.good luck Bill

press the helpful button and check links below, it is a 1993 manual, should be the same.

What is required to change the plug wires on the engine's right bank on a 1996 Buick Roadmaster?

THIS VEHICLE HAS OPTIC SPARK DIST. THE PLUG WIRES RUN ALONG A CHANNEL BEHIND THE ALT AND A/C COMPRESSOR. THE WIRES MUST BE PROPERLY INSTALLED IN THE CHANNELS OR CHAFFING AND PINCHING WILL RESULT. VERY GOOD SYSTEM, JUST A LITTLE HARD TO REPLACE.

The "change oil light" came on, on my 1996 buick roadmaster. i changed the oil but now how do i get the "change oil" light to turn off?

Turn key to "ON" position (NOT START). Press gas pedal smoothly and all the way to the floor 5 times. You'll need to do this in about 5 seconds. Light should go out. You may have to do this a few times but that's how it's done...Start car to double check.
