I know which line it is but there are 2 smaller ones that T off of it and one of them is not connected. One of them goes to the cruse control what about the other one.

Yes, it is vacuum operated. Would be your largest vacuum line(1/2 to 3/4 inch diameter hose, usually off the intake manifold or an intake runner.

don't know, but look along the firewall for a vac. hose goin into cab...may be there. Til you find it , just plug off the line with a bolt or screw, to avoid a vacuum leak.

2001.5 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 4x4 Brake Pedal drops to floor

It sounds like you have a bad mastercylinder cause when you panic brake it doesn't have time to bleed through the valve in the cylinder but under normal braking your foot is on pedal longer in turn giving the fluid time to bypass the valve in the mastercylinder in turn the pedal going to the floor.

1995 dodge 3500 4wd wont engage have shifter on floor light wont come on or 4wd wont engage

Any time your dealing with a 4x4 system the best start is at you front axle. Its primarily a vacuum leak so check to see if the 2 vac lines are hooked up (its good to check the electric connections.). When your 4 wheel drive is engaged and the motors running you should have vacuum at one or both of thee lines depending on if your in 4 hi or low .
If no vacuum at axle check the Vacum switchs(the plug with 4 vac lines) on top of the transfer case it will have 2 feed lines(grey & green) they conect in to the into the vacum harness on back of motor (passanger side). A vacum schematic is normally located on the raditor core support (right under the hood next to hood release)
Hope this helps

No power assist after pedal is pushed after about 2 seconds.

check for a vacume leak in the hose going to the brake booster,or a plugged line where hose connects to intake,if you find nothing the booster is faulty

My car idles at 3 and the brake is stiff

Sounds like you have a major vacume leak, Chk. line going to break booster. Do you hear a loud hissing or whiseling noise either comming from under the hood or under the dash especily when you apply the break? If under dash could be bad break booster, if under hood still could be booster or a break in the vacume line from engine to booster.

Brake pedal hard to push, like the power is gone. would this be power booster or master cylinder how hard is this to change out?

Could be booster, chk. vacume from engine to booster, usely when that happends you have lost vacume to the booster, very seldom does the booster go out, I'am not saying they don't, its just seldom they do. Do you hear a hissing sound either from under the hood or under the dash above break peddel? If you do you got a major vacume leak,if you hear it comming from under the dash its the booster, if you just hear it under the hood its in the vacume line from engine to booster.

2003 dodge dakota

check 2 things first one is their is a plastic check valve that is inserted into the booster (under your hood) then goes to a vaccum line ,then to the engine, pull it out of the booster and check the valve it should be L - shaped. it might have a hole in it causing a vaccum leak. be carefull pulling it out not to break it just pull straight out. if that is ok put it back in. then your problem is going to be the brake booster the big black round case. sometimes the diaphram inside the booster rips causing a vaccum leak which causes a hard brake pedal and you have to stand on the pedal to stop. then you will have to repace the whole thing but not the master cylnder unbolt master cylder with the brake lines connected, the lines will give then disconnect brake pedal arm under dash inside of trk their should be 2 nuts or 4 buts under dash on inside of firewall near brake pedal then remove booster pulls out from under hood. there is not much to replacing them.
