    ok i change my fuel pump yesterday. i can hear the pump running but it is not getting gas to the font

Ok first of all any fuel ran motor has a fuel filter on it somewere. on the r/t you pull up your back seat and remove your fuel pump modual it is on the bottom of the model

    Location is correct. On the bottom of the pump is a screen (must have because the fuel filter is incased in the housing that the pump goes in). Housing with fuel filter (incased in it) is sold with a fuel pump twice as much money. Right now I'm told they don't sell the housing seperate.

Should be under the car... possibly under the front driver or passenger side seat locations... but under the car not under the seat.

2005 stratus's do not have a fuel filter, i have a stratus and they do not have one on the car

    There is a external fuel filter about 6-8 inches from the fuel pump under the car on the Stratus R/T's. That is where I found mine, Check it out. (line goes out towards passenger side from pump)

The fuel filter is on the driver side above the gas tank. You have to look hard to see it but it is there. Dodge does not call for a service of this filter so unless you are getting some bad gas over a long period of time you probably do not need to change it. But if you do decide to you will need to loosen the fuel filler neck from the tank. Put a jack under the tank (make sure the tank is no more than a quarter full) and loosen the two retaining straps. Gently lower the tank you can now access the fuel filter. Just loose the two ends from the line. Installation reverse of removal.

Fuel filter location
Dodge Stratus fuel filter location, 2001-2002, access top of the gas tank from under the rear seat. Remove the sending unit with filter attached, replace in reverse order of removal. I found having plenty of lighting in there made a difference. Be careful of the gasket and seals and they can be re-used, dont bend the sensor parts or your gas gauge will will be FUBAR. Use proper tools for removing the retaining ring, don't get stupid and start making sparks with a hammer & a screw driver.

I cant locate the fuel filter
Not 100% sure on stratus, but common place for dodge is ahead of the passenger side rear wheel, under car attached to frame. If not in that area, jack up passenger rear side, and use safety stands, & follow lines from top of tank, you'll find it.
