We are assuming that you are talking about P0128 code.

P0128 OBD-II - Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)

This means that the engine's PCM detected that the engine has not reached the required temperature level within a specified amount of time after starting the engine. The intent of the P0128 code is to indicate a faulty thermostat. Similar codes: P0125

In determining the engine did not reach a "normal" temperature, it takes into account the length of time the vehicle has been running, the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor reading, the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor reading, and the speed of the vehicle.

I have a 2005 Toyota corolla and it dies all of a sudden, what could it be?

Best thing is to take the vehicle to a toyota dealer and let them do a diagnostic test on it via the ECU. Thus showing the error codes stored in the ECU. This will save you money in the end by not fixing the incorrect stuff and shows you exactly whats wrong with it. Avoiding guessing. From there you will know whats needed to be fixed.

We have a 2009 Freightliner Columbia that keeps giving fault code "ecu 128 51d 153". Any ideas on what this is?

not in my range of expertise as commercial vehicle but there should also be a FMI code number to go with the fault code , follow link to the freightliner web site where you can download owner manuals etc that may give you more info on your problem also a freightliner forum would be a good source of info , keep me posted if you wish

I have a Volvo 670 2007 D12 and I keep getting fault codes ECU Maintenance MID 128 PID 27 FMI 5 and MID 128 PID 245 FMI 9. Does anyone know what they mean?

These code are specific to Volvo and you will probably need to contact a Volvo service department to have them explained.

2005 Huyandai Santa Fe chugs when idle and while accelorating. check engine light just came on and car shakes while its moving. Whats wrong?

Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' (Service Engine Soon) light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on.
You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE the problem and perhaps eventually fix the problem.

Check engine light

Well, whoever checked it wasn't qualified.
If your check engine lite is on there will be a code stored in the ecu. Even if the lite goes out on its its own, the ecu has whats called History Codes which will show a code of of what DID happen.
You need to find someone who knows what they are doing.
