Not normally however they both are attached to the vacuum system , the brakes have a booster which is run off the manifold vacuum, and so is the PVC valve,, I would check for any vacuum leaks in the system, and replace the PVC valve,, they are cheap
I replace brake master cylinder and booster n the brake pedal when i accelerate it just gives n goes all the way in wat can be the problem has new brakes n rotors i took all brakes apart n cant figure it out sum one please help can it be pcv valve
you need to bleed the entire system, starting with the master cylinder, once you have all the air out of the master,, then you can do the brake lines themselves, if your booster was bad it would be sucking fluids into the booster itself,, the PCV valve has noting to do with what your describing , what your describing is air in the lines, you can borrow or rent a reverse order bleeder from parts stores like autozone,, or O reillys , also make sure your doing them in the corect order, you have to start with the rear passenger side, then to the rear drivers side, then back to the front passenger, and finally the front drivers side,, heres a short video of the tool I'm talking about that makes the job very easy http://www.youtube.com/user/scottykilmer...
just copy and paste that in a new window,, and please adjust my reply rating
