Not normally however they both are attached to the vacuum system , the brakes have a booster which is run off the manifold vacuum, and so is the PVC valve,, I would check for any vacuum leaks in the system, and replace the PVC valve,, they are cheap

I replace brake master cylinder and booster n the brake pedal when i accelerate it just gives n goes all the way in wat can be the problem has new brakes n rotors i took all brakes apart n cant figure it out sum one please help can it be pcv valve

you need to bleed the entire system, starting with the master cylinder, once you have all the air out of the master,, then you can do the brake lines themselves, if your booster was bad it would be sucking fluids into the booster itself,, the PCV valve has noting to do with what your describing , what your describing is air in the lines, you can borrow or rent a reverse order bleeder from parts stores like autozone,, or O reillys , also make sure your doing them in the corect order, you have to start with the rear passenger side, then to the rear drivers side, then back to the front passenger, and finally the front drivers side,, heres a short video of the tool I'm talking about that makes the job very easy http://www.youtube.com/user/scottykilmer...
just copy and paste that in a new window,, and please adjust my reply rating

How do you take out a PVC in a Dodge 2004 1500

To remove a PVC (positive crankcase ventilation) valve from a 2004 Dodge 1500, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Locate the PVC valve. It is typically located on the engine, near the throttle body or intake manifold.
  2. Disconnect the battery. This is important to ensure safety while working on the vehicle.
  3. Remove the PVC valve hose. The PVC valve hose is connected to the engine with a clamp. Use a screwdriver or pliers to loosen the clamp and remove the hose.
  4. Unscrew the PVC valve. The PVC valve is held in place with screws or bolts. Use a socket wrench or a screwdriver to remove these fasteners and take out the PVC valve.
  5. Install the new PVC valve. Follow the steps in reverse order to install the new PVC valve. Make sure to tighten all the fasteners securely and reconnect the battery before starting the engine.
Note: If you are not familiar with automotive repair or are not comfortable working on your vehicle, it is recommended to have the PVC valve replaced by a professional mechanic.

Why is the pvc valve n/a also hose

Hi Craig:
Please tell me what you mean by n/a.
PVC valves usually will not stop an engine from starting.
If they are occasionally cleaned, they normally do their job just fine.
Can you tell us exactly what happened to the car immediately before it decided not to start.

Starts fine, rough idle, put in gear wants to stall, seems ok at speed.... today the hose from the pvc valve pop off and car would not start, could this be a bad pvc valve

Not a bad pcv
Sounds like crankcase pressure from cylinder
blowby.
Think you need to have some serious engine mechanical
diagnostic work done.

Oil coming back up dipstick

There are not many things that can cause this problem. There can be too much blowby from worn pistons and rings. The other problem is a stopped up pvc valve or the associated plumbing. If the pvc valve screws into the intake, disconect the hose and see if you have suffient vacuum to the crankcase. also make sure the hose to the engine is free and clear.
If the pvc pushes into the valve cover, pull it out and feel for the vacuum there.
Let us know if this helps, Robert
