NOTE: When removing water pump assembly, be careful not to get coolant on timing belt unless you intend to replace it. (if it has more than 60.000 miles. it probably SHOULD be replaced, however, you must do it correctly or severe engine damage will occur.)
Drain coolant from drain plugs on both sides of cylinder block and radiator.
Remove radiator hoses (upper and lower) and fan shroud.
Remove drive belts.
Remove water pump pulley.
Remove crankshaft pulley and front (upper and lower) belt cover.
Remove water pump

Radiator loosing coolant and water. I replaced all the hoses, but the pro9blem still persists

If radiator itself is leaking, they have to be replaced,go to Autozone and get a lifetime one,I use them.Make sure that is what is leaking, check the area of the water pump too.

2000 Nissan Frontier overheats frequently. fan clutch and thermostat have been replaced, radiator has been flushed, water pump was changed last year????Help

Well you covered the major points of the system.
It is possible one of the hoses is collapsing internally, or a blockage inside the radiator in spite of it being flushed.
I would try to see if the radiator and the block will flow with the hoses off.
Another possible cause is something blocking the air flow thru the radiator.
Was it running hot before the pump was replaced ? Any chance the pump is defective ?

I have A nissan frontier 2002 with overheatin problem I chance the heater core the radiator cap I check the radiator and the overheat problem continue

Check the water pump for leaks by its weep hole. Also remove its drive belt and see if its pulley is loose. if so replace the pump

The other items are the cooling fan, fan relay(if applicable) some models use a clutch, check clutch see if its engaging at proper temperature.

If you determine it to be the water pump might as well do timing belt/ chain and corresponding engine seals and oil pump at the same time. May cost a lot now but got about 60k before some of theses items become an issue again.

How to change a water pump in a 2001 nissan frontier v6 (non supercharge)

you need to remove the whole front end of the engine apart. the pump is behind the timing belt. may as well replace that and the crank and cam seals while you in there.

How to install

4.9 disconnect negative battery cable, drain the coolant from radiatorremove coolant reservoir, loosen waterpump pulley bolts,a screwdriver can help keep the pulley from turning, remove drive belt, remove idle pulley, remove waterpump mounting bolts(they are different sizes, some are star shaped) do not pry on waterpump until all bolts are removed, clean gasket surface, use gagket sealant and install new water pump(start all bolts before you torque any down.)

I have a coolant leak coming from the front of the engine. looks like it is leaking around the cam shaft pulley. The vehicle is a 2001 Nissan Frontier v6

Sounds like either the water pump or the thermostat housing. The water pump has a small hole in the bottom where the shaft comes through, when the water pump gets worn it will leak here so you know to replace the pump. The thermostat housing will be at the motor end of the upper radiator hose where it attaches to the motor. Hope this helps.
