Yes, alternator. Remove it and have it tested at your local perts store.

SOURCE: TCS, SLIP and ABS lights on

Check your brake fluid first. If that is low, top it off and recheck. If its ok, than you will need one of the rear ABS sensors. You will need to plug it in and find out which side it is. That's really the only ABS issue that car has. One of the rear ABS sensors fails.

SOURCE: service engine soon, TCS off, SLIP

The oil change wouldn't cause this problem. Just in-case, check the engine oil level.

There are many emission sensors in the car that will make the engine light come ON. Best way to find out what's going on is to have an auto-parts store hook up a engine code reader and tell you what the code means. Most auto-part store will do this for free.

Testimonial: "very helpful. i have the mechanic checked the car , the sensor says it has a malfunction in P0340"

SOURCE: Sounds like the belt is slipping and the battery

First of all if the belt has been slipping ,that causes the belt to get hot. Rubber belts ,after getting hot and cold too much ,makes the rubber hard and brittle and will crack and brake. The belt system has a tenisionor pulley that keeps constant tension on the belt .With the engine off pull on the belt and the belt should be hard to move . If the belt moves easy ,the the tensionor needs to be replaced with a new belt also.If all is good remove the belt and turn all the pulleys, A/C ,alt.,Power sterring, ect., To determine which pulley is not working proper

SOURCE: Problem with ligh ABS and TCS ! What to do?

There are a lot of things that could cause this. We need to pull the codes in the ABS module to see what code(s) are setting and diagnose those codes. Check around the local auto part store to see if they can check ABS codes. Some might be able to check it for free.

Most of the time its one of the speed sensor or the harness to the sensor. Sometimes its the connection, where it hooks up under the body by the drivers side sliding door. There is a few connections there.

The one for the ABS is the 4 wire connection. Make sure that connector is clean and no corrosion or water is in there.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day

SOURCE: TCS OFF Slip

probably a wheel speed sensor has kicked the bucket, which is why the tcs light came on , have to check your ABS system to see if its functional.

What is reason my 2005 Cadillac deville will not start-will not crank

Given the amount of electronics on your vehicle , control modules (computers ) serial data communication networks etc.... Me or anyone else on would only be guessing as to what the problem is . Starting with the basics to find a cause is always the best ! Checking for diagnostic trouble codes should always be the first step !
Reading how the systems work is always a good idea too . Especially for someone who has no idea how this vehicle works .

When you turn the key in the ignition low voltage inputs are sent to the module incharge the PMM - power mode master ! In you vehicles case it's the (DIM) dash integration module !
Table 1: 4-Wire Ignition Switch Table
Power to many of this vehicle's circuits are controlled by the module that is designated the Power Mode Master (PMM). This vehicle's PMM is the Dash Integration Module (DIM). The PMM controls which power mode (Run, Accessory, Crank, Retained Accessory Power, or Off) is active. In this vehicle the Rear Integration Module (RIM) assist the DIM in controlling the RAP power mode.

On vehicles that have several control modules connected by serial data circuits, one module is the power mode master (PMM). On this vehicle the PMM is the dash integration module (DIM). The PMM receives 4 signals from the ignition switch.
To determine the correct power mode the PMM uses the following circuits:
• Accessory voltage
• Ignition 1 voltage
• Ignition 3 voltage
• Off/Run/Crank voltage

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop .

Windshield wipers will not turn off

1. Fuses. Make sure the fuses were actually replaced. Sometimes there are spare slots in the fuse box and they get put back in the wrong slots.
2. Power locks. Check fuses again. If they've blown, either there's a short circuit somewhere in the system or one or more of the lock solenoids are drawing too much power. (Could be a bad solenoid, or maybe just dirty lock linkages that are requiring too much effort by the solenoids to move.) If you think it's a solenoid, buying a generic version online will probably work, and be MUCH cheaper than buying a factory replacement from the dealer.
3. Radio. Will it work with key in the "accessory" position? If so, you've got a worn/dirty ignition switch. Try spraying with WD-40. If that doesn't help, replace the switch.
Also check fuses again.
3) What were the 6 blown fuses? Why did they blow? Were any of these to the radio or power lock circuits? If so, and they've blown again, there's probably a wiring issue somewhere.

While I am Driving my steering wheel locks up and my van shuts off randomly..?

I would check belt tension on the power steering pump and the alternator. If the alternator belt is slipping, the battery will become discharged and the computer won't have enough voltage to operate the ignition system.

In this case, are the headlights getting dim?

Power to everything including sterio but dash while key is out of ignition and will not start when key is in ignition

Might be your ignition switch, or a fusable link from you battery. The switch makes more sense but i have no idea why it would screw up while you were driving. Usuall y that happens when you're starting it or shutting it off.
