Hello, My Hyundai Accent gs 2001 1500cc when is running sudenly turns off the engine, everything else works fine, the lights, the battery is ok, the car even try to start again but is not untill 10 minutes after that the car start again but it keeps turning off the engine after a few minutes. I allready change the bobine and nothing, after a few tests i notice that when the car turns off it does not send energy to the spark plug and after a few minutes the energy returns, i think its a sensor but wich one.
I have changed the CKP sensor but this has not solved the problem. Car starts OK but after a short run engine stops. Starts again, but then cuts out again after a short while. What can I try next?I have changed the CKP sensor but this has not solved the problem. Car starts OK but after a short run engine stops. Starts again, but then cuts out again after a short while. I dnt know the name of the sensor, probably its name is ignitiator, or the one directly attached to the spark plug ..............it may cost some 5000 to replace one!!

this refers to the fuel being to lean, there may be a leak in a air intake pipe or the air filter has become dislodged , check also for a fuel leak , check for a worn vacuum pipr , get your self a workshop manual will give you step by step guide's, also try a fuel addative , get one that covers the catalytic convertor as well as the valves etc keep me posted if you wish
Engine check light is activated by the oxygen sensor, have the sensors reset with scanner, if the light kicks back on, then have sensor checked and replaced if necessary.
No it will wipe out the valves.. usually all of the exhaust valves. Here is the interval for changing the timing belt on your Hyundai.. "Normal service replace every 60,000 miles or 48 months. Severe
service replace every 40,000 miles or 48 months."

Engine Light 'ON' is a warning light from the inbuilt system. As far as your car is driving good, no need o worry about the light.
This is from the electronic control unit signal. This can occur due to some sensor performance present in the engine. Take it to the nearest dealer. They have a diaganosis unit to fix it easy.
you wont need to change it until at least 100,000 miles. Typically that will last the life of the car. But alot of people, including myself, wait until it breaks to replace it. It is about $1000 to replace because the engine has to be partially disassembled.
I have a 2006 Accent and also to me sometimes the eps light turn on while I'm driving. I turn off the car and wait few seconds before to turn on again. But how to repair this problem?
thanks i remplace the CKP SENSOR and everthing its ok now
I have changed the CKP sensor but this has not solved the problem. Car starts OK but after a short run engine stops. Starts again, but then cuts out again after a short while. What can I try next?
