What happen when oil light is blinking
Any replacement must be done only when you have confirmed the fundemental problem of the cause of the breakdown and if possible before replacement a study of the parameters is establised.
Now if you suspect that there is a burn out, it must be estabilised that there is a snag which needs an investigation than to replace one every 200 miles.
So I would suggest that since you are confirmed this being an electric issue and not an fuel problem and is confirmed related to the distributor, check the distributor assembly , the HT and the electrics in this section. Check if the burnt out is due to external heating or if there is any FUEL/OIL that is spraying or leaking on top of the distributor while the car moves which can burn up the unit.
So please check this out.
Hi, what was the diagnostic reason for replacing the distributor? Was there trouble codes stored in the PCM? If so, what were they? How many miles are on your vehicle?
the car has 153 K the reason for replacing the distributor is because after the car shuts down "I do not get any spark" so when I change it it start normal
I suspect the wiring to and from the distributor. There must be a break or bad connection if you remove and replace the dist, and it works for a while before acting up again. I have to admit, the dist replacement allowing the problem to go away, but only to come back, then replace the dist again, then have the problem come back is very very unusual.
