does your vehicle have an owners manual in it?? sometimes you hafta re-program the remote, to function correctly with the vehicle, and the owners manual will tell you what you need to do.
For instructions on how to program remotes and keys check website below, I use these and they are usually very accurate. This website does state that on your vehicle, special equipment is needed to program a key fob, as there is no onboard programming for it. If its an aftermaket installation, do yourself a favor and have it removed. I have seen them disable a vehicle where they won't start. Sound like the controller is malfunctioning.
you probably have a garage door opener that changes the code after each opening. I had to push a button on the door motor and then run to the car and push the opener button within 15 seconds. Your car salespwrson is usually an expert at this.
