I drove for about 28 miles than notice the temp gauge very hot pulled over
heard boiling going on waited 10 mins than open cap lots steam and
pressure came out i then filled with water started car gauge still very
hot
I then shut the car off removed themostat then started car
temp was normal so i drove for about 7 miles then got really hot and
car turned off while driving.
waited 5min started it again because I was on the bridge stopping traffic drove 4 more miles turned off again
the fan turns on and how can i check the water pump
Look for leaks on the passenger side!!!! also this car has a "air pocket" you need to find the bleed off screw on the upper hose fitting on the engine and bleed it when filling up with coolant
water out of the tail pipe???? hmmmm sounds like a head gasket water comming out the fill ???? yup head gasket also water pump sorry dude good luck leave feedback thanks
have it flow tested or replace it that much presure might have expanded the "tanks" on the ends. o rings cant hold up to that . sorry dude good luck and your more than welcome to ask anything else justuss
head gaskets are bad. they dont always leak into the oil. most of the time they just get a leak into the cylinders. causing the water out of the tailpipe. the tester you used can also check for pressure build up in the cooling system. good luck jimmy

ok today i went to car with 2 gallons of water poured both in started car.
water coming out tail pipe open radiator cap on resiovor no movement water backing out the over flow whats the problem
so I need to replace the head gasket and the water pump.
what about the radiator how can i check that
hey partner thanks for all the info well today i had it pressure tested it held 20 p.s.i. then replaced old themostat started car and ran it for about 15min and water was boiling out of resavoir shut it off
i then drain oil to check for water in oil but no water mixed in
im being told that the heads are gone and water pump amd timing belt
could this be possible
fans are working also

2006 Jetta 2.0T...Car wouldn't start after sitting overnight in garage. Waited a minute then started fine but one headlight was pink. Drove for 1000 km then placed a battery tender on the battery overnight and the next morning, headlight was back to normal white again. What's going on?
