The brake light fuse blows immediately. I have replaced the fuse repeatedly and as soon as I touch the brake pedal the fuse blows. This is a 15 amp fuse that also supports the horn. I have checked the horn when I have a new fuse installed and the horn does not blow the fuse. Only the brake lights blow the fuse. What should I do?

Its a fualt or short in the tail light loom , ive seen this issue many times, some of the looms they use are not old age worthy so to speak they deteriorate over time and youll find one of them if not both are actually arcing out somewhere i would recommend replacing just the looms that have the bulb socket and on the other end they plug into the main wire harness need to unclip them etc and pull out of the rubber grommet and replace by installing new one back the same way u removed the old , be sure to clean the terminals and plugs on new one if second hand first
You have a short in the lighting system. Try removing both brake bulbs and with a new fuse installed.. does it still blow the fuse? If not, then install one bulb at a time and repeat the test.. You probably have a short in or around the bulb socket.. Hope this helps

check the wiring after the fuse to see it there is any where it is touching earth. The brake light switch under the dash at the top of the brake pedal would be a good place to start as the live wire may be off and touching the metal.
This all depends, if the fuse blows as soon as you put it in without stepping on the brake pedal then theres a dead short in the fuse box or the power wire going to the brake switch is shorting out, this 15amp fuse runs from the fuseox to brake light switch, so the short is between that but if it blow with brake pedal pushed then you said you dissconnect the rear brake light at fuse box and fuse still blows so the next step inwhich power is feed from this fuse is the following and you will need to unhook these components one at a time until short is gone. the next location is the the abs brake control module which is by the master cylinder area after that it goes to the cruise contorl servo also under the hood, then it goes to the shifter release solenoid which is very common problem, the wires melt or short out in that area, and next it goes to computer which i dont think is the problem and from there it feeds the rear lights and third brake light. hope this helps, good day.
That usually means short to ground..Look for a wire touching the frame or the body of the car somewhere..Check around the brake switch which is located on the brake pedal...Disconnect the connector and try the fuse again..If it doesnt blow then i would think the switch is bad..Also check around the brake lights and make sure the wires look ok..That is if your talking about the brake light fuse
Really need more info but if it blows fuses you have a hot wire touching metal somewhere......
or something plugged in where it shouldnt be.....Or wrong size fuse..You have a brake light switch attached to the brake pedal which is common to fail.....also brake light bulbs and fuse ...check where bulbs are installed at recepticles....check for naked wires touching metal.....also use a good rated fuse...
should be a 15 some are 10 some 20...i would try a 15 if you dont know..................Sometimes your foot can accidently kick wires loose under dash at brake light switch........some cars also have
a cruise control switch above brake light switch.....DONT confuse one with other....NEED MORE INFO ABOUT VEHICLE TYPE TO GIVE CORRECT ANSWER................METALPOET
Please check the brake light wiring there must be somewhere where the live wire is touching the body (earth -) and thus the blowing of the fuses.
Since the plug in had melted so must have the wires insulation top melted somewhere and its now shorting.

Start by replacing your brake light bulbs. If it still blows the fuse, them your brake pedal switch. If it still happens then you have a shot circuit in your wiring between your fuse panel and your brake lights.
