My 2003 Honda Pilot rear right door won't lock or unlock. The fuses under the hood and right passenger side fuse boxes are fine. I confirmed it's getting power on the plug to the door switch. I think the problem is the switch but don't know how to remove/replace it. Please provide instruction if anyone can help.
I have a 2004 honda pilot. The passinger door and the back door behind the driver seat will not lock or unlock with remote or with door lock switch,What can I do to fix it?
If the driver door lock actuator fails the rest of the locks won't work. Also the automatic headlight switch won't turn them off and your battery runs down. It's fairly easy to fix the actuator but it is a little tedious. The actuator costs about $75 at the Honda dealer and about $50 online. If you're not sure how to do this get a manual for the car or pay the dealer. There are a lot of connectors inside the door and several linkages so you have to be careful, patient, and don't force things apart. When you do it right everything comes apart pretty easy.

I too have a 2004 Honda Pilot, the back doors will not lock or unlock with the remote. It started with the left back door, now its both.
Same type of issue here. Power locks work, but not for Driver's side door. But if unlocked, the drivers side will lock all. Also, Remote tries to lock all, but becuase the drivers side will not work, none lock. Only way to lock car completly is to use key on Driver's side which will lock all.
Same problem, First rear driver side would not lock or unlock with remote, now both rear will not respond.
How much and what do I do about it??
Similar to original post, my 2006 (previous version) Pilot's right rear door would not respond to remote or key lock or unlock. The design of Pilot is in such a way that it is difficult to reach over from driver seat or the front passenger seat to manually unlock the rear right door.
I noticed the original and the three subsequent posts all take place in recent months. This is very curious.
Anyway, whatever help info would be appreciated.
Passenger door lock will not respond to the remote opener, now the driver side door is doing the exact same thing. Does anyone know of the solution to this problem?
same here. 2003 honda. first the rear left passenger side went; then the front passenger door. if i don't lock them manually, then then the entire car will not respond to the remote. i thought it should have been under warranty, but honda said it would cost more than a couple hundred PER DOOR! if anyone has found any solution, i'd like to know. it's a hassle loading up the kids, including a toddler when i have to send in one child to open the other door from the inside..
I have a 2004 honda pilot and the drivers door lock has stopped responding to the keyless entryor the power switch.
I have a 2003 honda pilot. The driver's door will NOTlock or unlock with the remote. When the driver's door is unlocked manually, the other doors will lock and unlock with the remote, but the driver's door remains unlocked. When the driver's door is locked manually, the other doors will NOT lock or unlock with the remote. With the driver's door locked, pressing the remote unlock will turn off the security light above the driver's door lock and pressing lock will turn on the security light.
This looks like a common problem on many pilots. Is there a recall for this problem? Does anyone know what the fix is and how much it would cost? Is there a fix that can be done yourself?
Same problem with my drivers side door. I can only lock/un-lock the door manually inside or w/the key from the outside. This is a huge nuisence. I have read this will cost over $200 to fix!!! After searching the net about this problem it is an obvious reoccurring problem with Hondas. This is not the type of problem I expect from Honda products. Has anyone heard if Honda plans on addressing this issue with a recall or anything else?
Same problem. It all started with the right rear passanger door out of no where. I have a 2003 pilot as well. It seems to me that Hondas may run well but the little **** always breaks first. It's annoying and for that I think I'll get one of those Toyota FJ Cruisers.
the rear door latch on my honda pilot 2007 is very loose. i can still shut it but not tight
Door glass doesn't go up.
