Have the FAN CLUTCH checked. they are a common failure. Get a AC DELCO or the part from the dealer. Why was the radiator replaced? Heater work OK? A/C works OK?

I believe on the envoy they have a fan clutch. If the fan clutch goes out the car will overheat while at idle and should cool down when on the highway. If it overheats at idle and during highway driving I would say change the waterpump.

also if you bought it used ,the enging might of been worked on before and is an internal issue, maybe trash in the cooling system, clogging the water port holes at the head gaskets.(as a last resort)

Can I change my oil filter on my 2002 gmc envoy without changing the oil? An idiot parts guy at a gmc dealership gave me the wrong oil filter. To top that ag Firestone the mechanic took off the correct...

You can change just the filter, you need to put a oil drain pan under the filter to catch what flows out and be as fast as possible, remove the incorrect one and fit the new one, you will need to top up the oil a little but won't need to do a complete change.

If your vehicle is equipped with heated seat, there should be a control button on the door where the window buttons are.

I need to know where is the thermastat on a 2002 gmc envoy

Follow the top radiator hose to the end on the top end of the engine. There should only be two bolts holding it on. Make sure to use high temp silicon sealant on the housing when you put the new one in.

Truck is over heating. changed thermostat. still

Hello, you may have a blockage some where in the system or possible air in the system. Double check your coolant levels, your cooling fans make sure they are coming on. Hope this is helpful.

Car wants to over heat unless the heater is on high?

A heater core is like a small radiator, its likely your heating system is picking up the slack from a clogged radiator, your radiator is probably in need of replacement.

If only some of the fan speeds work this is always the blower motor resistor located in the hvac case inside the right front of the vehicle where your passenger feet would be.the blower motor resistor is available at most larger parts places.I replace 2 or 3 of these a week. Good luck

This an engine coolant temperature fault, most likely caused by a defective thermostat, probably one that is open all the time.

I need to change thermostate

first make sure you have the right a mount of anti-freeze in it first and there is no air bubbles in the systems but to change the thermostate follow the upper radiator back to the engine and for the most part it only has 3-screws holding it make sure the engine is cool and that way you do not lose all of your anti-freeze and put the new thermostate in the same way the old one was.

THEROMSTAT/ 2002 DODGE DURANGO???

make sure engine is cool then drain coolant by opening the drain plug at bottom of radiator. remove cap from radiator so coolant will continue to drain and when coolant is down enough to pull off upper radiator hose at intake then close drain, then remove two bolts at coolant housing and remove thermostate. clean gasket material from intake and housing and replace with new gasket and thermostate tighten bolts install hose fill rad with coolant water mix 50/50 and run engine with heat on floor until gets hot and you see coolant flowing in rad, install cap
