Transmission can be somewhat tricky to figure out, as stated above maybe you should have the trans scanned with a code reader first.
Hi Herbet,
This could be a number of problems such as the following:1. Ignition fault.2. Fuel delivery.3. Intake an vacum system.
The quickest and cheapest way to narrow this fault down to a specific area is to have your vehicle go through a Diagnostic Scan, which will narrow it down with code numbers.
Then once you have these jump back on here and I'm sure that we can narrow it down further to a specific component or area.
Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks
Jason
Hi Herbert,I agree with my friends up above and suggest you take the vehicle for a diagnostic scan. You can check for broken ducting to the intake manifold and disconnected vacuum piping. When you say the vehicle jerks, does the jerking come from the engine or is it from somewhere else on the vehicle? Maybe the prop shaft? Regards Johngee10
What maintence has recently been performed on the engine/ how many miles are on the vehicle? Have you checked for trouble codes?
Hello, I am thinking throttle position system on the intake plenum. Also, check the vaccum hose to the fuel regulator on the fuel manifold.
I would have someone with OB II scanner to scan your you auto and see what fault code show up. GB...stewbison
