The 97 Lesabre doesn't have a fuel cut off switch like some other vehicles do. The test I use is to check for power at the fuel pump harness connector near the fuel tank. When you turn the key from Off to Run the computer will close the fuel pump relay and supply power to the pump for about two seconds then it will turn the relay back off until you actually are cranking the engine over. This is a two person test as you need someone to turn the key to "Run" as the other person is checking for power at the connector. If you have over about 120,000 miles then the odds are pretty good that the pump has failed but It's always best to verify it with a test. Good luck and hope this helps!

Location of fuel cut off switch on 2006 chevy malibu

There is no fuel cut off switch on a 2006 Chevy Malibu. You either have a bad fuel pump, a bad fuel pump relay, or no signal tuning on the pump relay if you have a no run condition of the pump.

Hilux. Where is the petrol cut off switch?

You don't give a year or model so I will cover both ,carburetor model no cut off switch, mechanical pump sucks fuel from the tank and delivers under pressure controlled by the float needle and seat to the carburetor . fuel injection no mechanical cut off switch pump is powered from the ignition switch via a relay, the ECU will switch off the fuel pump when the required pressure is reached .

It's a 2007 Chevy Malibu LS can it be the fuel pump cost it not to crank or start

Bad fuel pump will not cause it not to crank, but can cause it not to start. Test with fuel pressure gauge. If it will not crank, entirely different issue=bad solenoid/starter, bad battery connections, bad ignition switch, relay, wiring.

No power to fuel pump on 1999 crown victoria

Hello abzalkhan193
Heres a few things to check that could cut power to the fuel pump. The fuel pump inertia shutoff sw
in the trunk on the left side, there is a reset button on the switch if you push the button down and
you hear/feel a click then the switch was tripped and you just reset it. The switch's job is to cut off
the fuel in case of an accident. Next, the fuel pump fuse located in the battery fuse block under the
hood on the right fender well, fuse #1 20amp fuse. Next, the fuel pump relay, the relay is located in
relay center on the left fender well. Hope this is helpful.

Where is the fuel pump cut off switch located on a 1995 jeep grand cherokee laredo

there is no fuel pump cut off switch . put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail schrader valve turn key on you should have 40+ pounds of pressure if you dont the pump is not working open the relay center under the hood swap the fuel pump relay with the wiper relay and try again if no pressure its not the relay its the fuel pump if you do have fuel pressure that means the relay was bad get a new one the car should start if you do have pressure and the car wont start the injector circuit is dead and what causes this is the crank sensor located on top of transmission bellhousing on driver side auto parts store 38.00 dealer 170.00 when you change it make sure to push it in and hold it while you tighten the bolt hope this helps and please dont forget to rate my solution

Need to locate fuel cut off switch on 95 pontiac firebird

I don't remember this vehicle having a cutoff switch. In that year most manufacturers that were installing cut off buttons were mounting them in or just behind the glove compartment. If the pump has stopped working check the fuses located inside and under the hood of the vehicle and check the fuel pump relay. If all are good it is most likely a bad fuel pump you will need to replace.

1999 Cougar: where is the fuel pump relay located on a 99 mercu...

ok your cut off switch is under the glove box in the passenger footwell in the UK version, and mine did not have any further relay until the wiring hit the fuel pump itself, i had been told it was behind a panel in the back under the rear passenger windows, but having removed the entire inner trim of the rear of the car could find no relay at all. my problem was not relay in the end but a dead fuel pumpconfirmed by checking that i9 was getting voltage delivered to the pins of the pump plug when ket switch in position 2 as that is when the pump primes the engine

Solenoid was bad replaced it fuel relay was making a bad vibrating noise replaced that truck will turn over but now cant her fuel pump running will not start up

Check the fuel pump cut off switch located behind the carpet on the passenger side up unde the heater box, pull the carpet back and see if the button on top of the switch is pressed down, if not there behind the panel passenger footwell right side same thing also make sure the switch has power coming in and going out. BUT! you gotta be quick the fuel pump relay controls this power and only suppllies power for 2-3 seconds then it turns off. so plan ahead get your test equipment all set-up and surn the ignition on if you have power great turn off the key and move test stuff to tho other wire on the fuel shut off switch get ready and turn on the key power good no power bad fuel pump switch but No power to the switch likely a bad ffuel pump relay.
