The alarm systems on land rovers are quite tempramental. They work on radio frequencies. If you park next to a radio antenna like they have at post/ telecommunications offices. Then the radio waves they send out can interfere with your cars system, making it think it has been attempted to be broken into, and so immobilises. You should have a 4 digit code called the EKA code. You must have this to knock off the immobilser to start the car. The car must be locked completely, all windows shut and then enter the EKA code using your key.
Hope this helps

Mitsubishi Lancer glx 2003 Alarm goes off only when car starts, Can't switch it off

the dash lamp marked SECURITY IS DEAD all the time.keyon and off? fuse #2 missing,(security fuse)?
remove the remote battery so the bad buttons in FOB do not trip the alarm
I',m sure you mean factory alarm is in the car.
in USA we can scan the OBD2 port and see why any alarm tripped.
lots of ways there are, door switches, etc.
lost the users manual tell you on most cars the alarm need be enabled. and how.
most say , open the door with good fob.
then do not lock the door using fob and alarm is not active.
but with a dead fob how? (car came new with 2 fobs) lost 2nd?
my answers are for USA spec cars only, not world wide. ever.

doors with keyless entry system is what they call this.
fob locks. simple
have you examined the whole car for wiriing harness hacks that put in any kind of 1000 aftermarket alarms here, this is first.
is the horn honking? the same horn the steering well uses
or some other horn hacked in to car. ( we inspect all this first)

the factory ETACS as its own fob RECEIVE inside (antanna)
there are 3 fuses to ETACS.
fuse 22 do not pull that it kills vast other things too.
Fuse 2 and fuse 15 goes there but not sure what happens pulled
but seems the interior door lock buttons go dead. doing that..

here is my only cure.
pull the battery NEG lug for 1hour, or more even overnight
see if ETACS , resets (well it sure will) but do so and not go into alarm and first remove the FOB battery (on all fobs for this car)

see fob guts below
1 coin cell there , remove it,
now bad buttons do not cause system to fail.
open doors only with metal key.
all instructions for this car assume the below is not bad.
and buttons love to fail even SHORTED.(BAD)

I assume the factory alarm was somehow bypassed when they installed the remote start is there a way I can make the factory alarm work when the doors are opened without key,?

To arm content theft alarm.
1. Open the door.
2. Lock the door with the power door lock switch or
the remote keyless entry transmitter. The
SECURITY light should flash.
3. Close all doors. The SECURITY light should go off
after approximately 30 seconds. The alarm is not
armed until the SECURITY light goes off.

If a locked door is opened without the key or the remote keyless entry transmitter, the alarm will go off. The headlamps and parking lamps will flash for two minutes, and the horn will sound for 30 seconds, then will turn off to save the battery power.

2003 Camry with NO key fob. The alarm tripped and now car won't start. I unhooked the battery. How do I start car and reset?

if alarm went off using key would normally reset it you may have a problem with the immobilizer [key or ignition cylinder ] failure the fob turns on and off entry alarm the the key and ignition need to work together to start vehicle check and examine the key and cylinder circuit for wear or failure

My fob and keyless entry system doesn't work correctly sometimes it activates and sometimes it just doesn't. also activate the immobilizer randomly, any ideas?

Based on all the info you have provided I think you need a professional to get involved here, I am not willing to "GUESS" what might be the issue or issues (more likely more than one).
Good luck

How to turn off faulty alarm system on 2006 corolla so that car will start

sounds like you also killed the immobilizer too, now are immobile.
CRANKS BUT DONT START right, and IMMO blinks ?
the IMMO light tells you ,what ITS doing, watch it.
the thieft and immo are very complex in the toy world.
before hacking it , find out how,.... the top answer is , you cant.
so which is first. the thieft sys. or immo.?
first read this, after checking all fuses in both fuse boxes

http://qcwo.com/technicaldomain/toyota-corolla-immobilizer

dont loose the master, key or use id daily
dont have 2 keys in car. at same time.
dont have other keys on right blocking the magic RFID key.
dont mess with it, if you mess with it , it THINKS you are crook
so dont.
it may also IMMO lock out if the theft system is hacked.
ill let you goggle that.

I have a 1995 ford E150 van passenger van that has been parked for a while. I went to try to start it after sitting for 5 months, the battery was low so I bought a battery charger and charged it. It will...

the immobilizer might be stuck on, remove battery then go turn the ignition to number 2 for a few seconds then connect the battery make sure you put red lead on first then the black lead, then get in the care. it should have fob remote on this model so remove the fob off the keys. turn key to number to then press the fob buttons lock and open that should turn off the immobilizer, the doors should lock and unlock , then turn key back to 0. wait a second and then try to start engine. ,

This morning I came out to start my 96 jetta and the battery seemed dead. So I began the process of getting a jump and as soon as we connected the jumper cables to the jetta the alarm started going off. We...

The immobilizer feature was tripped when the alarm went off. It sounds like the battery was indeed dead. My Nissan 300ZX used to trip the alarm when I jump-started it, although my Audi A4 does not. When the alarm is going off, you have to disarm it with the key or key fob first, or you won't be able to start it. Try putting the key in the door, lock it, unlock it, lock it again, and unlock it again, just to make sure you get a couple of arm/disarm cycles, then try starting it.
