I have a 1997 chevy tahoe 2-door.I need to know where the fuel pump fuse is located. I already checked the relay box and the fuse box on the dash board.The relay is working.I dont no if it could be labled under a different name in the fuse box. Thanks

In the engine compartment fuse box, it's the one labeled LIGHTING

If the battery is dying that quickly you need a new battery
On the Tahoe K series 5.7L the fuel pump relay is in the engine compartment to the rear of the engine control module, should be identified on the cover over the relays

didnt specify year of vehicle most relays for tahoe is under hood and at side of dash on drivers side -- turn key to on and listen for hum of pump no hum try starting with starter fluid if starts test for power to connections ,pump and relay if power more than likely pump shot

You say (it all began when), please explain what happen > you were driving along and all of a sudden ......your turn !!!. i have a couple questions >> You do realize that the key has to be turned to the "on" position to excite fuse block wiring and unless you had a wiring harness short and cooked the wiring or have disconnected wiring , common sense says it's not the wiring, as for the fuse box & block , simply google "1997 chevy tahoe/wire harness & you can probably find info. on (you tube) searching the same way !!

it is in the under hood fuse box on the drivers side just in front of the brake master cylinder. if you look under the fuse box cover it will specify which one is the fuel pump relay.

the fuel pump has 2 fuses 1 in the engine compartment fuse box and 1 in the fuse box inside dash. Also the fuel pump relay is located in the glove box on the passenger side their is 3 relays in there. If you put your hand on the relays and turn the key to the on position you should feel it click and then you will know which one it is. If you do not feel it then this is likely your problem but check the 2 fuses first.

2 relays is not uncommon on any suv or car but there is also a interia switch that can fail or can be set off.

Dark green provides power to fuel pump relay from the ECU. Orange wire at fuel pump relay is power at all time and is provide from the ECM/Bat Fuse at fuse block (Left side of dash). It also connects to the fuel pump oil pressure switch. The grey wire at relay provides power to the fuel pump and fuel pum oil pressure switch. The red plug thats tape to harness from relay/fuse center is the prime connector..

the dash sound's like a fuse, check the fuse box under the hood and in the door jamb on the side of the dash, also check your fuel filter and fuel pump, im betting on the pump because i have a 2001 chevy blazer that has had two replaced and it has 233000km on it!
