Could be a bad throttle position sensor.. try this... follow the air inlet to your intake... on the side you should see a cable going around a curved bracket... on the side of that (your throttle body) should be either a black or a grey sensor... kinda looks like a P shape... with your car off... unplug it... start your car and see if it idles better.... i wouldn't advise driving it unplugged if it works... it just stops bad information from going to your computer and while unplugged your CPU runs off base programs... if your idle smooths out then simply replace your TPS :D

95 Nissan Maxima didn't have an inline fuel filter. I added fuel system cleaner to almost empty tank and after driving some it now cranks but won't start

Hello ,, If i were to guess , I would say you cleaned everything up and put all the gunk directly into the injectors . I would try blowing air in the fuel line , but , go a close as you can get to the engine , disconnect the fuel line so that the gunk goes back to the tank and not the engine . then take (with the line still off ) a can of brake clean with the small tube on it and squirt to towards the injectors (the other end of the fuel line that goes towards the engine ) to try to get some of the gunk to come out of the system . Now with the fuel filter still on the car and the end of the fuel line from the tank turn the key on and let the fuel run into a bucket or bottle till you see clean fuel coming out . Then reconnect the fuel line to the engine ,, fill the rest or the tank with new gas and try starting it . You may have to try cranking it a few times till the gunk is out but it just might work . If it dosent you might have to clean up the injectors or replace them . Make sure you can hear the fuel pump working because it might have wrecked that too . Hope that helps.

My pgo pmx 50 problem started with the electric starter appearing to bind or turn slowly , this then continued to my indicators only working under high revs and when combined with a brake light they fail...

Yes, voltage shouldn't go any higher than 14 to 14.5 volts when running, even when revved up. If it's reading only 12 volts at idle, regulator is faulty.

My 1993 Pontiac Bonneville is eating gas like crazy...put over 20 dollars in gas and its still on empty.

it sounds like the sending unit float isn't working in the tank,or gas is just running out as your filling it

Transmission

Does it strain to go over 25 if so then tune up with new fuel filter. Check your spark plug wires. Also you can hook up a timing light to each spark plug wire and rev it and see if the light skips.

Self reving problem???

This possible solution is also weird. I have a '91 Prelude Si also- GREAT car. Do you have anti-lock brake option? If you do, check the fluid level in the anti-lock reservoir. My Prelude did this revving thing twice, and while checking under the hood to see what the heck was going on, I discovered the brake fluid level was very low. I topped it off, and after giving up trying to figure what was wrong, I restarted the car, and no revving problem. I don't know why this is, but it worked for me twice. Countrycurt0
