Hawkeye 30: yeah, probably the pump. A sensor malfunction would still let it run in "open loop" mode.
Before you tackle the pump, though, I'd recommend getting a fuel pressure check at the engine. Also check if you have 12 volts going to the pump at the elec. connector at the tank. good luck.

I have an 1990 buick regal custom and stalls when im griving it then dies can anyone help me on how to fix it.

Sounds to me like a fuel filter. When was the last time it was changed?Because if a car starts and runs till you give it gas under load then dies it is a fuel problem.Start by chaging fuel filter and if problem still persists then next thing to check is fuel pump.

1993 Buick Regal 3.1 - just purchased for my son and it's been running fine for about 2 weeks. One day he was driving and it stalled and would not re-start. Changed the fuel filter, pump is working fine. ...

Do you have a check engine light on? If yes; try to get the code, have someone loan you a scan tool to access the codes. If you do not have a check engine light on it is not a ecm control issue, ie. (cam or crank sensors etc). Suspect the fuel pump. If you are certain it is working ok. Next is to check the coil pack and Ignition module. Look for spark at the plugs. Pull a plug wire and look / listen for spark to jump out the end to bear metal as you spin the engine trying to start it.

1997 Buick Regal GS Auto starts but won't stay running. Any ideas? Fuel pump runs a couple seconds and then loses pressure.

you have to monitor the fuel pressure, if you find that the pressure drops off as soon as the engine has started you should check the fuel pump resistor located on the frame next to the windshield washer tank. If the resistor is ok see if you can keep the engine running with carb cleaner. If the engine stays running on the carb cleaner try disconnecting the mass air flow sensor and see if the engine continues to run by itself. This is all taking for granted that there is not a security system problem. check if the security light keeps flashing while trying to start.

1997 buick regal gs starts but wont stay running. it will start every time but will only stay running for 3-6 seconds.it was running fine then went out to use it 1 day and this problem ,any suggestions...

Your fuel pump ballast resistor is bad if it's a super charged engine. you will find it behind the battery other side of the wall kind of hard to find. it's a large white ceramic rectangle this takes the load from the fuel pump allowing it to run.

Car starts then stalls out...

could be to many thing to take chances with, but most commonly;fuel filter, gas line antifreeze or a crack in your air intake which would take your vacuum seal away, start with the least expensive and work from their. Worst case scenario pinched fuel line
