Won't turnover occasional click

suspect battery problems. THe positive terminal developes a hard black coating inside the lead terminal and around the battery post Remove this using rough sand papaer to a shiny finish on both units . Repeat the operation on the negative terminal. Try the starter again. If still nothing turn on the head lights try again noticing if the head lights go dim. IF they do check if the battery is charged OK then you have a problem in the starter motor IF it works some times and not at others you probably have a dead bar on the communator which means a replacement s-motor

My 97 Pathfinder won't turnover. It clicks, it gives one push but then does nothing. It starts when I jump it and after it's charged for a while, but when it's been sitting it's like t

could be poor connection from battery to battery cable terminal. take off both pos. & neg. battery terminals, clean & reinstall, making sure there is a tight connection. if the cables are loose (even just one) or if the battery cable seems degraded with corrosion, they should be replaced. could also do a load-test on the battery... it should stay strong under load, and shouldn't drop to below 11 volts under load. if it does you have a bad battery, even though it may seem good otherwise.

Won't crank or attempt to start. The battery is good. Is it the starter or could it be something else?

Richard, how have you proven the battery is good? This is critical. replaced a starter a long time ago and found out it was the battery the whole time..

Dashboard lights flicker s and clicking while trying to start but wont turnover or start

Sounds very much like the battery or the battery cables/connections. If the battery has low fluid or a shorted cell or two, it won't take a full charge no matter how long you charge it.
If you are not able to take the battery in for a load test and validate that it is good, try changing it out with the battery in another vehicle that is not having a problem, and see if that vehicle suddenly develops the same issue. Batteries need to have a load applied while the voltage is checked for a valid determination of it's condition. If you have a volt meter, have someone try the starter while you are checking the battery voltage. If it falls way below 12 volts (replace it), or stays above 12 volts (good) you have a valid answer either way.

1995 toyota celica starts up when cold and will run until i get wherever i need to go. Then if i shut off and try to restart it doesnt make any clicking noise and wont try to turnover until cold.

So when your engine is hot the starter won't engage. Try cleaning and tightening the wires that are bolted to your starter first. You want bare shiny metal to metal at all your connections. Take care when unbolting the wires because you could strip or break the studs on the solenoid. If this doesn't help then I would say the solenoid is going bad and will need to be replaced. It's usually a good idea to replace the starter and solenoid as one unit. Hope this helps.

2003 Suzuki Aerio won't start. New battery. Turn key, nothing happens (no clicking or turnover at all). All other electrical seem fine.

Sounds like a starter to me. Pull it and take it to parts house for bench test. Do not replace unless they say it is bad.

I have a 1996 GMC Sierra C1500. I'm totaly new to

A bad fuel pump will not keep the engine from turning over. I would first test your battery and make sure your connections are clean. If that check out I would check your starter and starter relay.
