I have 1993 jag xj6 the probes at the top of the tank seem to be burnt out how do i get that plastic piece out without destroying it .so i can hard wire past it

Take the top of the pump unit off then drill a hole for each wire and hot wire it in this way ,or go to scrapyard and get another one ,if this question had come up yesterday then i could have sent you one from my spares donor car but the guardia civil paid me a visit and took all my cars away in the yard and stopped me from working anymore from home .Think the goverment is short of money to pay for all the somallie refugees flooding across the straights of gibralter .
