My freeze plug in-between the engine and transmission is leaking, My two questions are: Do you know how many freeze plugs a 95 Honda Accord V6 engine has, and should I replace all of them at the same time? Also, Smoke is coming from the head gasket... Do I need to replace the Head gasket or is it something else?

SOURCE: Determining if head gasket is blown on a 1994 honda accord Ex w VTec

White smoke out of the exhaust is one indication that the head gasket is blown. Another is to start the car and check the oil on the dipstick. If it's frothy or looks like a milkshake, this is another indication of a blown head gasket. The milky appearance indicates that coolant is in your engine, caused by a bad head gasket. If none of these symptoms occur, then the problem lies elsewhere. Hope this answers your question and feel free to post back with any other concerns or questions. Thank you.

SOURCE: 1994 honda accord blown head gasket. Now car is

Are sure? If so you will have to remove the head to repair it. Don't drive it or you could destroy other parts of the vehicle as coolant will leak into your oil and get into let's say your crank shaft bearings. Pull out the dipstick and check the color of your oil to see if it is milky in color. If it is then this is a sure sign of a BHG (blown head gasket) and will have to be repaired. If your oil is fine get back to me for more troubleshooting.

Change Automatic Transmission oil

Honda's are drain and refill only. The filter is internal inside the transmission and can only be accessed during an overhaul. On the bottom of the transmission case is a drain plug that is gold in color. It is removed using a 3/8" ratchet,or extension with a ratchet atached. There is also an aluminum washer that must be kept track of and reinstalled with the drain plug or a leak will occur. After draining the trans, and reinstalling the drain plug,Honda genuine automatic transmission fluid,or an equivalent with a highly fricition modified additive must be used,or harsh shifting can occur.I would install about 3 quarts after draining, and start checking the level at this point. The fluid level is checked with the engine OFF,on level ground.

95 honda accord V6 tachometer jumping and cutting out.

I had the same problem with my 1995 Honda Accord V6 2.7L a year ago. It was a pain to have Honda diagnose the problem because it was intermittent and every time I took my car in to the dealership they said they couldn't reproduce the problem, but the longer you wait the more frequently your tachometer will fluctuate. I finally stopped by the dealership when the tachometer was jumping and they were able to diagnose the problem. In my case there was a faulty resistor in the ignition coil, but the entire ignition coil needs to be replaced. I don't know anything about cars but I know this fixed my problem. I went directly though Honda's service center so I know they charged me more than an independent repair shop but I'm looking at my invoice now and I paid $150 for the ignition coil and $200 for labor. After Honda diagnosed the problem I searched for "1995 honda accord ignition coil tachometer" and found that other people had the same problem and replacing the ignition coil was the fix. Hope this helps.
