I have a 2007 dodge magnum with limo tint windows! My side windows don't defrost however the windshield and rear window defrost just fine and my heater works great!

Your windshield and rear window has defrost outlets that exhaust right onto your front and rear window glass. Your side glass probably doesn't enjoy this luxury.

How to take glass out of rear door drivers side?

You have to remove the rubber trim and vent window to be bale to get the door glass out, so you can get the regulator out.
The window is attached to the regulator with two pop rivets that will need to be drilled out. then you have to drill the three rivets that hold the lift motor to the door, drill the two rivets that hold the bottom of the regulator to the door, then you can remove the two 11mm bolts that hold the top to the door. Then you can remove the regulator and lift motor assembly.
Here is a diagram of all the mounting hardware you have to remove to get the regulator out, after you have removed the vent window and rubber seal.

If your car does not have the vent window, then all you have to do to get the glass out is pull the rubber seal around the window out. 17435317-4adb-4cc9-9a5d-653f19be846c.jpg

Replace vent glass

It is easiest if you remove the door panel and passenger glass first. Once that is done it is much easier to remove the weather stripping, seal and vent window.

1998 ford explorer rear window removal

Hi there:

  1. Remove the door trim panel and speaker if applicable.
  2. Remove the screw from the division bar. Remove the inside belt weatherstrip(s) if equipped.
  3. Remove the 2 vent window attaching screws from the front edge of the door.
  4. Lower the glass and pull the glass out of the run retainer near the vent window division bar, just enough to allow the removal of the vent window, if equipped.
  5. Push the front edge of the glass downward and remove the rear glass run retainer from the door.
  6. If equipped with retaining rivets, remove them carefully. Otherwise, remove the glass from the channel using Glass and Channel Removal Tool 2900. Remove the glass through the belt opening if possible.

To install:
  1. Install the glass spacer and retainer into the retention holes.
  2. Install the glass into the door, position on the bracket and align the retaining holes.
  3. Carefully install the retaining rivets or equivalent.
  4. Raise the glass to the full closed position.
  5. Install the rear glass run retainer and glass run. Install the inside belt weatherstrip(s).
  6. Check for smooth operation before installing the trim panel.

Hope this helps.

How get replacement rear vent window into place? its a 1995 maxima passenger side rear vent window.have picked up a new one from salvage and fear if i force it, it may shatter.

The metal glass run between the vent & doorglass has a phillips screw at the top under the door weatherstrip. I usually remove that screw, with the doorglass down & glass run (felt) pulled down at the top just enough to allow the metal part to move as you force the ventglass into place. lube the vent gasket with silicone spray or any good wet lubricant and force the glass in, bottom 1st. If this makes you too anxious, remove the 10 mm attachment that retains the metal glass run at the lower end of the part. To get to it, you will have to remove the door panel. Good luck
