When I drive my 02 caravan for 10 minutes the oil light cuts on and the car cuts off. After letting it rest over night, I drive it again and it does the same thing. It seems like it cuts off after the temp. Gauge hits the middle bar or in other words after the engine heats to a certain temp.please help!!!

Hi, try putting in a new oil pressure switch. If the light continues to come on, you will need a new oil pump. The oil pressure switch cuts off the fuel pump when the oil pressure is low. Please let me know if you have more questions.

My 2002 mazda premacy sticks in gear when the transmision is cold, what can i do to fix this

I would consider a transmission oil change to freshen up the oil . The hard braking may be that there is a rust build up on the rotors and that makes the pads grab for a few applications. May be a way to fix the gear problem is to start it and let it idle for say 10 minutes to allow everything to get some heat into it instead of starting and driving immediately

Have f350 04. About a month ago while driving in town, it cut out blew black smoke, pulled over to side of road waited a few minutes all was well. Now at any given time it will cut out, not idle up or die....

Could be a problem with your high pressure oil system that fires the injectors. As your oil heats up it gets thinner and less oil pressure is available to fire the injectors. Black smoke is a sign of over fueling. Is it chipped? If so remove the programmer and see if the problem goes away.

Warning light check engine light turns on, sometimes after 10-20 minutes drive. The engine is perfectly OK. Indicator light is off after the car has "rested" during the night.

You may have a sensor malfunction. Have a mechanic run the codes and see if there are any stored in the computer. Just because the engine runs OK now does not mean it will continue to do so. The reason the light goes off after the vehicle has set over night may be due to the vehicle not sensing the issue after the long passage of time, until you begin driving again.

1998 dodge caravan stalls with oil light on

I would stop driving it if I were you. Sounds to me like it might be the pump or a line that is clogged. New oil can break loose deposits in your motor and will end up in a oil pump pickup line, filter, or pump. And for your safety, here is a complete list of recalls on your vehicle. If your vehicle is affected by one or more of these recalls, then you may qualify for a free repair! http://www.internetautoguide.com/auto-recalls/09-int/1998/dodge/caravan/index.html
Have a nice day. And have someone check your van.

2001 dodge grand caravan stalls

Check the sensors on the throttle body. There is a sensor that controls air to fuel ratio. If that sensor is bad then the car will run and then stall out while in drive. I had the same problem when it was cold outside last winter. If you dont want to dish out the money without knowing if it is that part at fault or not then start the van pop the hood and located the throttle body. Place your hand on the sensors and give them a little shake and then make sure they are plugged in all the way. You could also turn the van off and unhook the sensor clean the connectors and plug it back in. That should do the trick and if it doesnt stall anymore then I would replace those sensors if I was you. One more thing. If your giving the sensors a tug while the car is running and you hear it going to stall you could located the gas pedal cable and give it a rev or two by hand so it doesnt stall out and turn off. By the way. You van isnt over heating at all is it?

Pajero io it idles and revs for 10 minutes and won't drive or rev

Looks like your Idle Speed Control Servo is playing up. It's a device that controls your idling speed and any load compensation on the engine as well (raising the idle speed when turning the steering, whern turning your lights on...etc). A visit to the dealer should confirm the fault as they can plug in the diagnosis machine to check the proper operation of it. Let us know how you get on. Cheers.
