Normally this would be in your owners manual. The power for the outlets may be on the same circuit with the horn. On some models there is an accessory relay that handles the outlets. There should be a 20amp fuse in the box in the engine compartment that feeds the circuit. You may have to check all of the 20amp fuses to find it.
1) many vehicles has various fuses for outlet power 2) you must go to the fuse box and check all fuses if are o.k see the diagram attached and test with a VOM 3) if the fuses are o.k you must dissasembly the dashboard, for to test the outlet for +12vdc with VOM, or another outlet power, and replace the labor is medium complicated, but you do not have a choice.Use carefully and remember to unppluged the terminal + of main battery. Unless you want to go to the repair shop.
on the fuse box lid, there is NO fuse listed for cigarette adapter. As all OEM outlets are fused, I suspect it located somewhere else. I wanted to find out where that was at.. anyone??
You have options there. First use a test light and probe the center terminal of the outlet. If it has power, check the ground on the socket. If no power, check the fuse. (if you have no diagram, probe all of them and replace any that don't have power at both ends with the key on, and replace any that are blown. the one you are looking for is usually 20 or 25 amp). Your other option is to create a new circuit. To do that, find an open fuse port that only has power with the key on. attach a wire (close to 14 gauge is best) to a spade connector and plug it into the fuse connection that has power. Run that wire to the connector at the rear of the accessory port (lighter housing center post). If you do that, make sure you install an accessory fuse holder in that wire that is rated at 25 amps. I use that method to install additional ports so you don't have to plug in one of those "octopus outlets" in a working power outlet. Only difference is that I also install a new lighter housing into the dash. That requires a new hole in the dash or console and a ground wire to the outside of the housing.
check to see if power is going to the cig, outlets. I believe on the camry there is a 2nd fuse for lighter outlets. it is marked as power point " A" fuse located in fuse box. it should be a 15 amp fuse. good-day !! top row.
Hi, that fuse is in the box under the hood. See pic below. I think it's fuse 32. Fuse 45 also powers those outlets but also power a lot of other circuits. The fuse for the outlet in the very back of the car is on the interior fuse panel, #14. All of this information is in your owners manual. You can download the manual here: http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/owners-manual/buick/2002-Buick-Rendezvous.pdf
The fuse for the cig lighter/power outlet in the console which is the one I am guessing you are talking about is located in the fuse panel under the hood of the vehicle in the engine comaprtment on the drivers side near the battery. There are serveral power outlet fuses so I hope the one in the console is the one you are talking about. Below is a picture of how the fuses are layed out. The one marked "AUX PWR" is the one for the power outlet. This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, you can email me at [email protected] with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy of it. No worries, no cost to you. I hope this helps and good luck.
The fuse for the power outlets/cigarette lighter is located in the rear power distribution box located in the trunk (pictures of location below). Chrysler does not give pictures of the layout but they are numbered. The fuse you are looking for is in the number 18 position and should be a yellow 20 amp fuse. This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, you can email me at [email protected] with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. I hope this helps and good luck.
