SOURCE: Mazda mx3 clicking when cold

This is because the oil hasn't circulated in the HLA (hydrolic lash adjusters) that is ontop of the valves/springs under the cam. Once they are full with oil, the clicking stops and they opperate properly! Try running a thicker oil, other than that it's not a big problem unless the ticking is very loud or doesn't stop after it's warm.

Hi there. I have mazda 323 carb 1.3, this car have cold start problem in the morning when I'm off to work and it will take me 20minutes to get it running and it's quite heavy on fuel. How can i resolve...

Make sure the evap canister is not stuck and that the sensor is working properly. Also check all your vacuum hoses, a leaky hose will infiltrate cold air and thus difficult to start/runs rich in cold.

I have a Mazda mx3.The fuel pump was replaced.Changed the fuel pump the car will no longer start. I removed the hose coming out on the fuel filter and its getting fuel at least that far.

Why did you replace fuel pump? Did you buy a dealer pump or cheap aftermarket unit? Just because it is new does not mean it is good. Have you run pressure test?

90 Honda prelude is not getting fuel from the back to the front. Already put on new filter and pump. Still wont get to the front. So right now I have a wire going from my pump to my battery and when it...

You basically answered your question, there's no power getting to the pump when the factory harness is connected, so check the fuse for the fuel pump and also the fuel pump relay this could be the cause if there was a short in the wiring it would surely blow the fuse. As for the hose problem, are the hoses colapsing when running, if so its a air pocket or possablly a stuck open or closed thermostat.

My mazda 1992 mx3 it runs great cold but after warm up it spits and sputters and runs rich can you help please what could it be

Hi,

This sounds like you have a faulty coolant sensor switch which is telling your computer that the engine is still cold.

Replace this and you should fix this problem.

Thanks

I have a 1992 mazda mx3 was driveing and it died like it was out

The easiest way to rule out a fuel starvation problem is to remove the rubber air tube between the throttle body and the air box, manually open the throttle body valve and spray a short burst of stating fluid into it. Quickly release the valve, and attempt to start the car. If it starts and runs briefly then you are not getting fuel.

I have a 92 mazda mx3 that i just replaced my water pump on and we thought my radiator was leaking so we put radiator stop leak in and right after that my heater stopped working the heater was working fine...

the stop leak has clogged your heater core. you may be able to flush it out if there is still some flow, otherwise heater core will need to come out.

My Mazda mx3 starts up idles for a couple seconds then dies.

Before you replace the fuel pump, I would check the cheaiper parts first. Such as fuel filter and injectors.
