Look for large wiring loom under steering column that is patch harness going to immobiliser module,
two black large connectors that look the same disconnect and isolate connect original loom connector from top to bottom body harness original connector and presto no more immobiliser its bypassed vehicle now works.

these vehicles didnt have immobilisers fitted from daewoo if its Australian Zylux systems were fitted at point of entry at the docks so it would comply with ADR rules. other countries did the same but fitted different systems and brands.

so look for the connectors so you can bypass system.

Any chance of getting a bit more information on this, I understand you disconnect the connectors but then what does the other part of the instruction mean? thanks

Intermittent dash board problems

sounds like you have a grounding issue possibly a main grounding location. inconsistant grounding of the vehicles control module will cause erratic behaviours. check under the hood for ground locations containing multiple grounds at 1 bolt location.if different "experts" have attempted repair and failed chances are they are all looking in the wrong place.dash{interior of vehicle}..actual cause.{egine compartment or under side of vehicle..ie...ground locations.}good luck and safe motoring:>

1983 Mercury Marquis wont stay started

this problem is caused by carbon holding the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve open, it is a very comon complaint, fixed 100's for the issue at my dealer. You can buy a EGR valve carbon trap from the dealer to stop the problem.

i had the same problem on my 98 sonoma. for some reason your passlock system did not recognise your key and went into security. you have to take it to a dealer or a shop with a computer and have them reset your passlock. if you have a buddy or know someone with a scan tool they may be able to do it to. i think the shop here charged $35. but there is no other way to fix it.
