I have a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country with a small electrical problem. The accessory power outlet andf the radio are not working and all the fuses are good. Where is the fuse for these power supplies please?

There is no power to the radio and accessory power plug in my 2005 Chrysler Town and Country. There is no designated fuse listed in the fuse box in the left side of the engine compartment for radio/accessory power. I find all of the fuses to be in good codition and I would like to know where to find such fuse or circuit breaker to repair or reset, please.

  • Hi, I can help.

  • Under the hood you have an "IPM" where your fuses are placed. Please see the diagram I loaded below for a visual. Under the hood, on the drivers side, way back by the firewall.

  • The fuse you are looking for is in that box. Look for spot "F5" and is a Yellow 20 Amp fuse marked RDO/IP Ignition. On the lid of the fuse panel you will see a legend too. Replace it regardless of how it looks. This is the only fuse for the radio and accessories in your van.
  • There is a fuse in spot "F20" that is a Pink 30 Amp fuse for the Central Amplifier as well.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here and I will respond to you.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

If fuse 5 is OK then you may have a bad PTC fuse. It is found in the Integrated Control Module (ICM).

It should also have labels on the lid for it. You can also use a tester to check. One thing you can look out are the terminals for the fuses since these can corrode easily.

My radio stop working

I would say you did in fact blow a fuse. Fuse number 5 is a 20amp fuse that the lighter and radio get power from. The fuse gets power from an accessory relay which could also have been damaged.
Be sure and check the socket for damage before you try to use it again.

There is a fuse box under the drivers side dash. Check the owners manual, it should tell you the exact location.

I had the same problem.

Open the front hood and go to the fuse box under (right next to the battery).

Replace the 20A fuse labeled RDO/Power

I am sorry that the owners manual does not even mention this.
